« Stayed in Room 107 for 2 nights. The hotel is in a very good condition with marble and tiles everywhere. My room was on the first floor. No lift though. The room had a strong smell of Naphthalene. At least there were no insects. Everything looked clean, although the floor was a bit dusty. I picked up some of it while walking barefoot and ended up using the slippers provided. The bathroom had an open shower, toilet and basin. The room was large enough without everything getting in the way. Hot...

« The location and overall appearance of the hotel is good. However, the room we stayed (first room on second floor) had a couple of dozen bugs in the room. We had to turn the lights in the room off and left only the bathroom lights on during the night hoping to attract bug away from us. We also had to use towels to block the bottom of our door to prevent more bugs from coming in from the hallway. Next morning we found a lot of dead bugs right outside of our room which was a horrible scene....

« Lets face it. Butwal is not a tourist destination or major foreign investment site. The hotel options are limited. At Darcy's you get a clean room, professional service, safe meals and privacy. Nothing is outstanding but the staff is friendly and everything is pleasant. The location means it is convenient but noisy. During our stay there was a communication issue between Darcy's and Orbitz. « The hotel was nice but in need of updating. We had a Japanese-styled room with rice paper doors with many damaged rice paper panels. There was no light next to the bed, only the overhead light. The service was excellent. Lumbini was filled with smoke from surrounding agricultural burns., which we were told were typical in November and December. The smoke was so bad our flight out was delayed 3 hours because the airport closed for poor visibility and smoke marred the view of the Temple,...

« Stayed here for a night on my to Lumbini. Pros: Allowed early check in (8 am) Front desk and kitchen staffs were friendly and helpful. Easy access to local transportation Cons: No running hot water for shower. They brought hot water in buckets when asked. Dusts in the room and used soap in the bathroom. Only one towel. Front desk Manager wasn't familiar with prepaid reservation and asked me to pay locally again he wasn't sure if hotel would get paid by this site. Needed much work to...
