The Premier Cabin has been featured in Outdoor Life and Log Home Living Magazines. Fantastic luxury log home offers open concept, cultured stone gas fireplace, beamed vaulted ceilings, 3BR, and 2 bath. Awesome kitchen, with gorgeous quartz counters. Wonderful master BR, master bath and loft on upper level. The Premier Cabin sleeps 6-8 people. It's a place to bring your family or laugh by the campfire with friends. This is a beautiful location with wildlife watching right from your wrap around deck. Sit in the rockers and just enjoy the sounds of nature. Or explore the surrounding area, as we are close to SIU, Crab Orchard Lake, Giant City State Park, and Shawnee Wine Trail. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook and serve your meals. With a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher, you'll be able to prepare wonderful meals if you choose. For added convenience we provide a washer and dryer.

The stairs you see in the pictures are how to access the property. Not suitable for those with limited mobility.
A hobby farm is nearby with peacocks, chickens and other animals that roam free about the area. Therefore, a no pet policy is strictly enforced.

Perfect Girls Trip
If you are looking for a beautiful cabin that is tucked away from the center of town but a quick drive to the action, look no further! I stayed here with my mom, aunt, and my 1.5 year old daughter and we had the best time! The cabin is beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious. The cabin is well-equipped so you have everything you need to relax and unwind. There is also an adorable farm next to the property. We would absolutely return here!

Absolutely Fantastic
The property was amazing. Everything was clean, and as good, if not better than the pictures. The view of the sunsets from the front porch and the chairs by the fire pit were stunning. There are several wineries close to the cabin, which made it an easy day trip out. We were far enough out that it felt like we were the only people around, while still being a short drive to stores and restaurants. All of us agreed that it was the perfect place to stay for some much needed R&R. The guide Alison sent out prior to our stay was very helpful. My only complaint is that I should have booked another night- we didn’t want to leave.

Great Family Getaway
We stayed at this property about a year ago and decided to stay again. Once again, we were not disappointed! The cabin was clean and cozy. It feels secluded, but is only about a 10 to 15 minute drive to Giant City. We lucked out with beautiful weather, but would have had fun even in the cold and rain. The gas fireplace keeps the place warm, and there’s plenty of space in in the kitchen. A lot of the basic utensils, pots/pans, plates, etc were available for our use. Got to see a lot of deer and different wildlife sitting on the porch. The entire family had a great time and can’t wait to go back!

The cabin location is lovely. It is clean and welcoming, quiet and tucked away. The weather was heavy rain and cold our entire stay so we had no outside time. Very nice place!

Great cabin with easy access to hiking
This cabin feels like it’s out in the middle of nowhere, but it’s a short drive to Carbondale and to Giant City State Park and the Shawnee National Forest. It had good amenities and was cozy and comfy. I would definitely stay here again.

Great getaway!
This property is a perfect combination of secluded and peaceful and also close to shops and restaurants. Peacocks and deer frequently visit the house from the farm nearby. It was a nice break from the stress of everyday life.

Beautiful getaway in the woods!
The cabin was nicely furnished- wrap around porch and large windows provided beautiful views. The neighborhood cat and peacock would occasionally visit- so cool! Plenty of space for a large family ! Will return soon!

This is a beautiful cabin on a amazing piece of land. Seems like you're in the middle of nowhere but we were only ten minutes from the heart of Carbondale. Very clean and well maintained, stocked with the things you would need. I will definitely stay here again.

Perfect weekend getaway

Perfect family sized cabin
Cabin was accurately pictured. Beautiful layout for our family holiday. Located near hunting and the wine trail. The walk down to the farm to visit the animals (with permission) was a nice bonus.

Great place for a quiet getaway
There were 6 in our group (3 couples) and this cabin was perfect. Location was secluded while being easy to get to and relatively close to town and activities (state park, trails, lakes). The property was exactly as described and even nicer than the pictures. Owner provided everything we needed and we didn't have to ask for anything. Everything was so great that our group is planning on making this an annual event.

The house was very clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location to enjoy all that southern Illinois has to offer. We really enjoyed walking over to the farm to see all the animals. Weekend Getaway
Wanted to get away from it all for a three day weekend with family. The Premier Cabin was perfect! Nice rural setting, long front porch with multiple rocking chairs and plenty of room inside. The beds were great and very comfortable. There is an active farm up the street with multiple animals including peacocks which my 2 1/2 year old grandson loved. Allison was extremely helpful and accomodating. Multiple parks nearby with something for almost everybody to do. The guide book app was extremely helpful with great suggestions and information about the surrounding area. Highly recommend the Premier Cabin.

Good Location for Most Hiking
The feel of a suburban cabin in a rural setting. It's central enough to major hiking sites, including Giant City, Ferne Clyffe, Little Grand Canyon, and Crab Orchard. (It's a further drive to Garden of the Gods.) Definitely a great choice!

Family get-away
We had an excellent weekend trip! The property was very secluded, the cabin was awesome, very clean, everything worked perfectly! Our host was awesome to work with during planning as well as check out! Our group of 7 totally enjoyed it!! We saw several deer numerous times right up by the property. We definitely plan on coming back! Awesome trip!
