Makin' Memories What We Do Best, With Family and Your Tail Wagging Friends.

"Makin' Memories" Bungalow (1340 sq ft) was originally built in 1919 and was an original Mill House, also known as a Shotgun House. I has had numerous add-ons over the last 110 years. The house has been totally gutted and remodeled with new electric, plumbing, and all of that good stuff! The Battle of Missionary Ridge was fought on this property, located on a 2 block street. I have found bullets, cannon balls, and shot when digging in the flower beds. I even discovered an old tractor petal when it was a farm and cow pastures years ago. My insurance will not cover pit bulls, chows, or dobermans, or any mixed breeds that have these three. I live across the street and behind my house the gardens are located. It is an old 3 tiered lot with 2 ponds. One pond has goldfish and a Mermaid fountain. Sit and relax and enjoy the birds, views of Downtown and listen to the splash of the water taking your stress far, far away. The sunsets are wonderful as the sun disappears behind Lookout Mountain. It is convenient to the downtown area and all the hospitals. There is a FULLY FENCED IN back yard for your dogs. I am not able to offer military discounts. 2 miles to the Chattanooga Choo Choo. I own most of the neighborhood and still working on it. One lot at a time. It is in transition, but we all know each other. The city of Chattanooga is experiencing rapid redevelopment, economic growth, and what some call "gentrification". This means that if you stay in the city, you are likely to be on a street with a wide variety of properties, ranging from very good condition, to fair, to vacant. In addition, there is great racial, cultural, and economic diversity with city residents. I live across the street and love it here, but it may not be for everyone. I want all guests to consider this prior to booking, so no unfavorable review result.
Please do not ask for a late check out. I respect that my cleaners have lives other than just cleaning my rentals. Feel free to stay another day. Thank you!

Love it!!
The home was clean and spacious enough for our girls trip, four adults. The sticky notes were the best home touch. All of us were very impressed with the hosue, owner and loved our getaway. We all plan to plan our stays with Tammy in the future.

We decided to visit a new place for Thanksgiving this year and are so glad we stumbled across Ms. Tammy’s home. The house was exceptionally clean, and just like the pictures. The fenced in back yard was an amazing perk for our Cocker Spaniel. We will definitely be returning.

Great Family Stay
This is one of the best properties we have stayed. The location was very close to the interstate, and an easy drive to all of the attractions. My kids loved all of the toys. The owners really thought of everything, and it was very clean.

Our weekend stay at Ms. Tammy's Makin' Memories property fit the bill for what we needed. We were able to have dinner with family, visit, and relax without having to leave the house. The property is a stone's throw from area attractions, which made it quick and easy to get downtown. The beds were super comfortable!

Clean and Tidy House
While we were a bit skeptical of the neighborhood at first (we expected it after reading the listing) we were more than pleased with the neatness and cleanliness of the house. We had five adults and two small dogs and we all had plenty of room and a great weekend. The only small knock was the extremely narrow driveway and difficulty getting in and out of it in a truck. If the next door person parked in front of the driveway on the opposite side of the road, there was no way to get out. We got it figured out after a very polite conversation, but know that the parking situation is a little tight. All in all, we loved the place and would definitely go back again.

Absolutely PERFECT!!!!
We were beyond happy with this home and our wonderful hostess, Tammy! Her home was super clean, had all the amenities one needed, and was located on a quaint street that was SUPER close to UTC. The backyard is huge, and the decor outside allowed me to enjoy sitting out back. We always bring a fan with us when we travel, so I was super happy to find there was even a box fan. Oh- and my husband loved how hot the water gets. We look forward to staying in ANY of Tammy’s homes when we visit our child at UTC

We are four sisters who travel together yearly. This house gave us plenty of room (beds and baths) to be comfortable. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated and supplied with everything needed. Kitchen was set up perfectly. We really enjoyed the back porch morning and night. Chattanooga sites were easy to access.

Super comfortable home . Would absolutely stay again . Very close to downtown and the home had so many extra unexpected comforts like abundance of towels , kitchen products , bath products etc . It was fantastic . Super super clean ! Loved that we could bring our fur baby .

Loved the house... so pretty and nicely furnished, also very comfy and had everything we needed. Our pups loved the big back yard! Good location, not far from all the Chattanooga attractions. Would definitely stay here again! Communication with Tammy was excellent. Thanks for such a pleasant stay!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!! This house was perfect and was honestly the best VRBO I’ve stayed in anywhere. The size of the house was great for 3 adults and a dog (honestly we easily could’ve added a couple more adults and still would’ve had plenty of room). The pictures were completely accurate in the listing and I would say the house was actually even better than the pictures. It was clean, cool and had everything that we needed. The kitchen had all of the utensils, pots/pans, etc that you would need and we actually cooked two full meals during our stay. Tammy was awesome and present in the neighborhood. We felt completely safe at the property. My dog loved the yard and it made me feel good knowing that he was fenced in and could run and play without the fear of him running off. I wish it wouldn’t have been so hot so we could’ve enjoyed the back porch more (the shade is awesome, but sometimes hot is just plain hot). The location of the property was awesome, as well. We went to a pro softball tournament and we were maybe 10 minutes from the field at most. This also meant that we were about 10 minutes from one of the youth parks (Warner, I believe), the zoo and downtown. Whenever we go back to Chattanooga, we want to stay here, or in one of Tammy’s other properties, again!!

Great place!
We just loved this sweet little house. It was in a really convenient location, was superbly stocked, and had a lovely little backyard oasis. The fenced yard was great for our dog too. We have stayed at a number of rentals over the years and this was actually one of the best. Don’t hesitate to book this little gem. 😊

We traveled from Illinois for our sone graduation from Elite Lineman School. We got in late and the place was perfect and we needed for nothing. It was so beautifully decorated, quiet and ready for us to just lay down. I only wish we had time to stay longer and enjoy the back deck.

A House and Host so Nice We've Been Here Twice
Girls weekend getaway to attend a concert and discover Chattanooga. This home is charming and loaded with everything one needs. Nice to hang on the back porch and has a nice fenced yard. Host is very friendly, accommodating and pleasure to be around. She owns a handful of units on the street as well as a beautiful garden at her home across the street. We will definitely be here for many more visits to come. Helps that Chattanooga is also a wonderful town and you can see the downtown from here. Beautiful view.
