Blue Buoy is a newly remodeled, adorable A-Frame home located on a cul-de-sac lot in a quiet, laid-back neighborhood with a walkaround deck overlooking a private pool and grilling area. This property is pet friendly with a completely enclosed yard and a large driveway for boat parking. The main entry and heart of the home is located on the second level. The beachy calming décor is carried throughout. Upon entry to the house, there's an instant sense of cozy and calm as you walk through the living room area with a comfortable sofa and matching armchairs, a large TV, Wi-Fi and cable. There is a half bath between the living room and dining room area for guests' convenience. Subway tile, beautiful granite countertops, separate coffee bar and led track lighting with dining table seating for four affords a pampered feeling with all the necessities of home. (*No Dishwasher *) A short walk up the wood stairs is the two bedrooms, one overlooking the private pool, both with Queen beds, dressing tables, wall-mounted TVs and large closets. There is a shared full hallway bathroom with a tile tub/shower. Washer and dryer access is located on the ground level in the garage. There is a spacious outdoor covered patio with seating perfect for grilling (charcoal grill) by the in-ground pool. The large backyard is fully enclosed and fenced for privacy.
This custom home has everything on the checklist for a fantastic, fun-filled getaway close to shops and restaurants and a 3-minute ride to the beach.

Neat house, poor property management
My review is mostly focused on the property management. The house is fine, a bit old and some of the flooring feels like it's going to drop out from beneath you. Like a lot of reviews say the house DEFINITELY needs a deep clean! The sink faucet didn't work, only the sprayer hose, I called Life in Paradise Vacation Rentals and they told me someone would be out, they never showed. I also called about getting the pool cleaned, it was murky and needed a good vacuum, guess what? They never showed. Also, after we check in some dude shows up at 7 pm the first day and says he's just there to clean the outside? He stays for 5-10 min and leaves, didn't clean anything. I asked if he was going to clean the pool or fix the sink and he told us someone would come by shortly. For the exorbitant price per night I expected better.

Lovely home
The property was a great place to get away for the weekend. Our teen daughter was having so much fun in the pool that she didn’t even care about the beach. We chose this property because of the pool and pets policy. It was spotless, no signs of past pets. As clean as it was, it did smell like mold in the entry but I just chalk that up to the climate there. The only other thing I would like to mention is a soft spot on the floor of the kitchen. I would not hesitate to book again!

50th Anniversary celebration
Was a fantastic weekend stay! Pool was excellent as in law’s can’t stay out in the sun too long! So went to beach for couple of hours and the rest of the day we spent at pool! Part of the pool is under the top deck of the house! This provided shade if one needed to get out of the sun, but you can still be in the pool!

Overall not bad...
Ok, so honest review... 1) The house was pretty clean when we got there, not deep cleaned but with back to back bookings I know that is to be expected so not a big deal at all. Only downside is that aside from a vacuum and some dish soap there are no other cleaning supplies for you to use while you're there so I would recommend bringing some clorox wipes or spray with you if you're like me and like to tidy up throughout your stay. 2) The floors downstairs....there are several soft spots in the flooring, one was so bad we put an ottoman over it to avoid stepping on it, and while that isn't a deal breaker for us I feel like it definitely needs to be addressed and fixed by the property owners. 3) The furniture downstairs is comfortable but definitely needs a good cleaning, the chairs and ottoman are pretty stained and dingy. There is a rather large stain in the carpet in one of the bedrooms as well. Again, I know summers are booked so deep cleaning isn't feasible after every stay but carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning should be done fairly regularly. Also, none of the lamp shades in the house seemed to fit the bases properly which I thought was odd. 4) The pool was great! It was a little murky when we got there but all I had to do was call and they sent the pool company out within the hour to treat the water so that was really helpful and appreciated! The only drawback is there is pretty much no lighting down there in the evening/night time. There were string lights under the deck but they were very dim and only about half of them work so either some new brighter string lights or other lighting would be nice. We made the best of it though and had the kids dive for glowsticks. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The house definitely has it quirks and there is room for improvement, but hopefully those issues will get fixed in the future.

Great pool; quick golf cart ride to the beach
Overall, the property was great for the family with the private pool. Carpet was stained in the bedrooms and there was some dog poop in the backyard which I informed the property manager about and they were quick to respond. Did end up leaving a day early due to some water bugs in the house, but the property manager was quick to respond and offered solution for the issue. Overall, property management was great, just could have done without the bugs. Note: after informing property management of the bug situation, they went out to the house that day and gave us a call to confirm what we encountered and offered a solution.

>Didn't smell great when we 1st walked in. >Website says queen beds. They're NOT queen, they’re doubles. >Every room - living, kitchen, bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms - is slanted/crooked. >Interior steps extremely steep. We were going to bring our 70lb dog, so glad we didn’t, he couldn’t have managed those easily. My size 9 women’s foot didn’t fit on the step, you have to hold on while you go down. It’s fine but it should be mentioned in the description. >TV bedroom is hung at a slant, not a deal breaker but it just adds to it how slanted and uncomfortable it was. >Towel holder in downstairs bathroom fell off 1st time we tried to dry our hands. >All windows were filthy, even the front door + interior windows in living room had dog snot on them - so easy to clean. >Both toilets didn’t flush well. A slat in the living room blinds is broken. Found 3 bugs (we never left doors open). >First night an exterior flood light blasted into the bedroom, I was too tired from traveling to notice when I was going to sleep. It kept me up the entire night. I texted them about it first thing in the AM, they sent maintenance over, it took him a while to figure out it’s the taped up light switch in the kitchen. While that only took about 45 mins, it wasn’t fun and I was trying to enjoy our 1st day on vacation. >Stains on the wall to wall carpets in both bedrooms, all throw carpets, some furniture. >While you can sit on the back porch, there are about 5 houses backing up so it doesn’t feel super comfortable. They’d do really well to plant some tall privacy trees/bushes. >Towels were good, pillows were like bricks, glad we brought our own. >There was a good supply of kitchen dishes, mugs, cooking gear. >About 3 hours after we arrived on Friday, got a text asking us to take out THEIR garbage. We did to be nice. When we got back Sat. after being at the beach, it was gone. Maintenance said a neighbor took it to clean it. Never returned it. Didn’t want to get charged so took the one bag of trash we had with us. >There’s no dishwasher. Washer/dryer is under the house in a room that smells REALLY badly of mold. >It felt like staying at a relatives old house, which would be fine, but not at that price. The description needs to be accurate + it’s overpriced in my opinion. If it’s a quirky house, fine, but don’t be so cheap. Handsoaps were almost empty. Property management seemed good. I’ll look on their website next time and try another house

Know your housekeeping, make note of every detail or pay.
It is cute and cozy on the surface. Best part was private pool. Worst was: 1.Pet hair and urine in crevices. 2.Vacuum not so good to clean said dog hair. 3.Buy your own Swiffer pads to clean said urine. 4.Lots of broken items, too many to note....holes in walls/floors/stairs. 5.Broken items in each closet. 6.Stains on rugs, carpets, furniture...if you don't take note, they will charge you. 7.Light switches are hidden, broken, or taped up....Finally found kitchen lights BEHIND the fridge! 8.Upstairs toilet clogs super easy, and is difficult to flush normally. 9.Shower was clogged with massive hair....ICK!! 10.You have to wash all dirty dishes by hand, and take out all trash, or you will be charged....even after paying the large cleaning fee. I worry, that if not normally clean, how sanitized is it really?? REPORT EVERYTHING on day of arrival. I didn't want to be one of those complaining clients, I just wanted to deal with it, and get on with a long overdue vacation with my family after 2 yrs of self quarantine.......A slat in the living room blinds was broken, so my dog would poke her head through it. Their neighbor reported it and they charged me $100 and claimed I was responsible for it. I called and spoke to the supervisor to explain that it was already broken, and they stated they are taking the word of their neighbor. I mentioned all the other items, to prove how we were not responsible, and they stated that I conveniently failed to mention all the other items until we were charged. Again, my fault for not being a complaining, awful client on my arrival of a calm vacation! FYI, their neighbor will report to them daily of your comings and goings, and what you are doing on the property. I don't care, but eerie that someone is always watching you. PLEASE, please take pictures, and report all damages, or you will be charged the day after you leave, with no notification.

Great place
Great house and pool! Location is a short golf cart drive to the beach and local shops/restaurants. When we first arrived the mosquitos were really bad out by the pool so we notified the property manager. They must have sprayed while we were gone because the next day we noticed that there were hardly any around the pool area. We will definitely reserve this place again!

Refreshing getaway!
We had a great time here! My kiddos loved the pool each afternoon when we got back from the beach. The house was clean and comfy. We had an issue with the A/C upon arrival, and the owners had someone over there within an hour to fix the problem (in the evening). Highly recommend!

Cute property with great pool
The pool was definitely the highlight of this stay even though I wish it were a bit shaded. It is rather shallow which was perfect with young children. The property is really more for 4 people than 6 (there are only 4 chairs and a small dining table) but we made it work anyways. Checkin and checkout were easy and everything went smoothly with the property managers. Overall we all really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.
