New to our rentals! Set in the Pirate’s Bay Resort, this 3BR/2BA island-style cottage features a private outdoor patio, outdoor shower, firepit area, 2 fabulous slope entry lagoon salt water pools, and a large kids play area. Enjoy the great outdoor area for picnics, BBQ, and poolside lounging. Sea Monkee is the perfect home base for exploring Port A. Port A’s famous beaches, restaurants, and nightlife are all just a short drive away.
You’ll love the designer interior, highlighted by shiplap accent walls, pendant lighting, and a beautiful new kitchen.
LIVING AREA
The living area features cathedral ceilings and is outfitted with a sleeper sofa and a Roku smart TV.
KITCHEN & DINING
Cook up delicious meals in the sparkling full kitchen, outfitted with new stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops. Dine together at the table for five or the three-person kitchen bar.

BED & BATH
This townhome sleeps eight guests between three bedrooms and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. Each bedroom is appointed with a cable TV.
The primary suite features a king bed as well as an en-suite bath with dual vanities, a separate water closet, a walk-in shower, and a walk-in closet.
The second bedroom includes two twin beds, while the third bedroom is equipped with a queen bed. The guest bathroom offers a tub/shower combination and a separate double vanity.
OUTDOOR AREA & AMENITIES
Step out for a crisp drink on the private breezeway, outfitted with chairs and beverage tables.

Pirate’s Bay amenities include:

THE LOCATION
Drive just 5 minutes to the beach and enjoy a fun day in the sun and surf. Hit the links at Palmilla Beach Golf Club or charter a deep-sea fishing trip. Explore San Jose island or marvel at the wildlife at the Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center.
Enjoy a sunset stroll through Roberts Point Park and look for dolphins from the observation tower. When evening falls, sample the variety of fresh, local options that Port A’s dining and local brew scene have to offer.

Parking Notes: Upon arrival, you'll find 2 assigned parking spaces in front of the property, labeled “216” on the curb.

Great place, but electrical issues
Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals. You will need to purchase spices and so on, but will not be lacking for things to cook with or eat on. The unit is very close to one of the pools -- note that the pool codes can change, since apparently locals or others not staying are sometimes using the pool. We had to contact the property manager about that and got a prompt response with the new code. The one disappointing thing for us was that two of the rooms had outlets that did not work. My son stayed in one, and none of the outlets worked which meant that none of the lights worked. His only option for light was the overhead fan light, which super sucks at night for reading, etc. He also works when traveling, and could not charge devices, etc. We had good communication with the manager about the problem, someone came out asap to check it out and confirm the problem. However, apparently the PIC higher up didn't think it was a problem. We did not hear back from them our entire stay, and it was not fixed. I found this rather disappointing as the message was clear that they did not care about us. I think if you invest in the expensive cost of renting a place like this, you should have power and things should work. If we had gotten some communication about why they could not come out right away to repair, at least I would understand that they cared and were attempting to do something to remedy the situation.

Overall we enjoyed our experience. There was an issue with the hot water in the master bathroom. Communication was prompt, however it was a days wait for maintenance and then they needed part (which is fine, but communication on that fact would have been nice). Beds were very firm! Which my family didn’t care for but others might enjoy. Kitchen was well stocked! Pool was very nice! The home was very clean! Nice proximity to town and the beach! Shampoo and conditioner were provided for those he left theirs! Would return for another stay.

Cozy Little Condo
This was such a cute and cozy condo. We had to fly down to Texas due to my husbands grandmother passing away and my father-in-law requested a place that had a pool and was near the beach. This was the perfect spot. It was a short drive to the beach and the pools were amazing. I think my kids spent more time in the pool compared to the time at the beach. We absolutely loved the set up in the condo. My in-laws took the master bedroom and the kids, husband and myself took the other two rooms and had our own bathroom. It was perfect and just the right amount of space for us. We loved having a full kitchen with everything at our hands. My father-in-law did fix dinner for us one night which was a night break from having to each out. We all said that if we do go back down to Corpus that we would definitely check to see if this condo is available. The only negative we would say is it did take awhile to get hot water in the showers.

A small oasis in Port Aransas!
This property is exactly what you see listed. It comfortably accommodates up to eight people. All three bedrooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and with plenty of storage to unpack and spread out easily. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil, safe, and enjoyable time in Port Aransas.

The property and house itself were great. We didn't end up using the pool or playground, but they looked well maintained and would have been fun had we have stayed longer. The house was great and had plenty of room for all of us to stay in comfortably. The outdoor shower was a nice touch. We did cook in the kitchen and found everything that we needed. HOWEVER, the check in process is absolutely horrendous. If I could give it zero stars I would. Besides the initial automated message giving us the code to the key box, the property manager NEVER responded to a single message or question we had. I messaged her via VRBO, no response. I called the property managers and left mutliple voice mails and again no response. It was beyond frustrating. Had it been an emergency or we were locked outside, we would have been screwed. If you have good luck and plan on having no issues than try your luck staying here, otherwise good luck fixing the problem yourself.

Great Family Spot
We really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect setup for our family of 4 plus grandparents. Everything was a quick drive away including restaurants, shops, the beach and groceries. Restaurants around here are very busy, so I suggest going early. If you wanted to ditch the car for your trip and use a golf cart this might not be the ideal location, but that wasn’t our plan, so we had no problem with it. Everything in our unit was very clean and comfortable and we made several meals while there and found everything we needed in the kitchen. Being so close to the pool and playground was perfect as well. My only minor complaint was that we never had hot water in the master shower. The property manager was very quick to respond, unfortunately it seems to be a bigger issue that was hopefully resolved after we left. Otherwise it was all around excellent and I would highly recommend it.

Wonderful pool. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 kids. Because of the location on HWY 361 you really can’t rent a golf cart. Would certainly stay again!!

Well maintained beach house
Great house! Family and pet friendly with all needed amenities. Very clean Comfortable beds. Fully stocked kitchen. Lots of space for a family. Easy to get to the beach. We did have some communication issues getting the key code from the property management company, as it wasn’t shared with Vrbo. But they did notify us of an early check in. We would definitely stay here again.

I want to first begin this review with a high rating on the property. It is a beautiful property with any amenities a family could want including our 2 four legged children. The layout of this property gave space needed to unwind separately and come together as a family. The location is relatively convenient to everything but one caution is using a golf cart. The property is located on the wrong side of 361 so this statement is merely a warning if your preferred method of transportation is a golf cart since fines are hefty crossing this highway in a golf cart. The not so wonderful part of my review is the property management company that is in charge of managing this property for the owner. Upon our arrival the code provided didn’t work and it took 2 hours to gain access to the property. After being on hold for a long time then trying remotely to resolve the issue with no success a “local” property manager came to let us in. I say local b/c she was located 30 mins from the property. The key pad’s battery was dead and the backup entry option of a hidden key was useless since the spare key was not placed back to its location. I guess my recommendation would be to have those things checked prior to a guest’s arrival. Once in the property it was discovered that TV (cable) didn't work but owner and property manager resolved quickly. Lastly, the local property manager apologized for the inconvenience and stated a credit would be issued. I’ve attempted to get a status from Turn Key corporate and I continue to be told it is under review. At the end of the day my complaint is with TurnKey corporate due to extremely long hold times, unresponsiveness to inquiries and lack of follow up as promised. The onsite TurnKey rep was pleasant and made what she could right which was appreciated.
