This lovely vacation is situated on what is affectionately called California’s Riviera in the exclusive gated community of Beach Road. Its privacy and seclusion, uncommonly associated with beachfront property, allow you to experience the romance and energy of the ocean. Here, you can come to relax, surf, ride bicycles along the coast bike path to Dana Point Pier, walk the beach, gaze at brilliant starlit skies, or just sit on the deck and watch surfers, pelicans, and dolphins while taking in amazing ocean views. Kayak, go boating, visit a theme park, or play golf at a course nearby, as this location is convenient for adventure.

Out on your ocean view deck, sip a cocktail, and host a barbeque. Or, simply watch the sunset and the emerging starlit skies while relaxing in your lounge chair. This 1000 sq. ft., upper level unit is a sanctuary that envelops you in modern comfort, lavish space, and ocean access just a few steps away.

Inside, the great room area begins with an ocean-view living room and comfortable seating for all to enjoy. Relish in fantastic water views from the gourmet kitchen and dining area. The primary queen bedroom is accompanied by a second bedroom with two twin beds. The queen sofa sleeper in the living room provides additional sleeping space. There are also two full, well-furnished bathrooms, and all beds and bathrooms are furnished with ample premiere linens for your every comfort.


THINGS TO KNOW
The house is priced appropriately for its current condition as a rental property in the gated beachfront community.
The beach area is subject to change due to tidal conditions.
The Amtrack runs along the active railroad track on the opposite side of Beach Rd and the Pacific Coast Hwy.
This home is equipped with exterior surveillance as required by the local city noise ordinance.
Due to the moderate coastal climate, this house (like most in the area) does not have air conditioning.
This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting with Vacasa Seasonals, Inc.
Beachfront properties face harsh conditions daily from the salt air and sand, please make sure you are comfortable with this prior to booking. We cannot guarantee the condition of the sand or the access point to the beach
This unit is managed by Vacasa Seasonals Inc. and may require a Security Deposit.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

This house is as described. The location is beautiful. The house is dated but it didn’t bother us as we expected it from past reviews. Kitchen could use some additional provisions. This was not an issue for us in October but the house does not have A/C. We would stay again but would shop knowing what to expect

The property was in seriously gross disrepair. Everything is rusty and moldy and falling apart. The furniture is old, stinky and stained. The oven/stove didn’t work at all. We were told it would be replaced while we were there, but that never happened. The day we checked out, there were guys in the parking lot with an oven, waiting for us to leave. There is black mold on the ceilings, and mold in both showers. Most of the windows don’t open/have no cranks, and the back deck is crumbling and disgusting. I conveyed all of this to the owner/management and I seriously hope they listen, and clean this house. It’s nasty. Worst place I’ve ever stayed, which is sad, because it has so much potential.

The place is as describe. The location is unmatched. The whole time you can hear the waves crushing. No matter where you are in the property. Short Drive from downtown Dana Point and San Clemente. I would love to return!

The back porch looks nothing like the photo. Run down with a major unfinished construction job on the house in front. No A/C and most windows can't be opened, so in the afternoon inside temperatures would reach 90 degrees. No salt or pepper, limited pots and pans, no wine glasses. Coffee pot didn't work. Icemaker out of control.

Need a partial refund!
Your listing did not come close to meeting our expectations. Complaint #1: As soon as we arrived we noticed the A/C not working. When we tried to open the windows only 2 opened, one in each bedroom. We had to leave the door open to get air in the living room/kitchen but had to close them at night obviously. That left the 2 people sleeping in the living room with out any air circulation. We called the first day to report this and that most of the windows wouldn't open. They said they would have a technician come out but no one ever showed up. No one ever called to check on us either. #2: Wifi sucks! Kept going in and out. Couldn't watch TV or movies since they were streaming through wi-fi. No audio on Cox channels. #3: No indication that there was a loud train right out the window up until midnight on some nights. #4: Dirty floors. Had to wear socks. #5: 6 towels for 6 people for 5 nights??? Had to go buy laundry detergent to wash towels after day 2 as none were provided. #6: Listing is severely misleading since there is no beach access and crappy patio furniture. Table was falling down. Looks MUCH bigger in the pictures and no square footage provided. #7 Terribly uncomfortable sofa bed. #8 What's provided in the kitchen is laughable for this price point. #9 Don't even get me started on the car hassles!! Obviously when people are flying in and renting a car they can not provide you with car details before checking in!!! Will NOT stay at a VACASA rental again.

Ocean front but no access to the beach within the whole community. So you stay beach front and then have to drive to a public beach. The floor was really dirty, wore socks cause my feet would get dirty from the floor. Beds and furniture old and worn out. The cable had no volume in front main tv. Other tenants double parked in the covered parking so could not use it. Called and vacasa said they could not help. No manual for home like most places have to give you a heads up on things around the area. No guidance to get to the beach out front. Asked security and said no access in the community. Bottom of door was locked upon checking in, so we had to call to get in. The view was awesome.

Cute place!! But no access to the beach. Not sure what is going on with the beach by the property but the back fence is broken and somewhat unsafe. Filthy floors. If you are planning to cook there in the spacious kitchen plan to not have the tools you will need.

Deferred maintenance, possibly dangerous
The lead picture is misleading. The deck does not have wrought iron furniture. It has worn out wood furniture with mildew cushions. Front windows and deck glass were dirty. Kitchen stove has burners that don’t light. Blinking lights had us worried about possible fire danger? Blender has one speed if you hold down the button “stir” and did not have a lid. Many issues with such a poorly equipped kitchen. Neither of the bathroom sinks drain well, mostly not draining at all unless you have plenty of time to wait. Worn out cabinets and furniture. My biggest issue was in expecting to enjoy what I had seen in the photos. Those photos are misleading at best. Advertising that it is on the beach is almost accurate, but not completely so. That’s the roof of the ground level apartment in the picture, the same color as the beach, but there is no view of the beach, it’s looking over that lower apartment to the ocean. I will not rent from Vacasa again and am not sure I can trust representations made by your company. Those photos must have been 20 years old. Do you check accuracy and require updated information?

We had several problems 6 windows were inoperable. To fix them someone came out and removed the cranks. The other two in the main bedroom were left. It was hot so circulation from outdoors was important. The photos of the outdoor space were deceptive - furniture is dirty and worn. 2nd showers was inoperable when check in, someone fixed it but it was still only Luke warm water. There were missing remotes for the TVs The smaller bathroom window did not work. So that makes 7 windows of the 15 windows inoperable.

Location was excellent but the place needs some TLC. Some windows didnt open, floors needed mopped, sink wouldnt drain, etc. With just a little attention it would be amazing. Its on the beach but at high tide there is no beach due to erosion. Close to great resteraunts and surfing beaches
