« I had not stayed in this area before. I normally just continue on to Terre Haute when visiting family. However since I had time, I decided to try to find the cemetery where my 3rd Gr-Grandparents are buried and this was the perfect spot to start from. My room was clean, bed firm and comfortable, TV very nice and a large selection of channels, WiFi available, several restaurants close. « Lovely home with lots of space to spread out- inside and out. Our dog appreciated the 12 acres of woods to romp through. I appreciated the hot tub after a long drive. I hope to stay again! »

« This property is a real gem and I commend the owners for recognizing the potential and for saving a piece of the community’s history! The quirky-ness makes this a really fun getaway and makes you feel like a kid again! Me and my sister (both 50+) took advantage of the facility each evening of our stay. We played HORSE on the basketball court, played ping pong and air hockey and watched several of the movies provided. It was also just cool to explore the school although a little spooky at times...

« Overall a 10/10.We loved this little homestead house.everything was clean,neat,and very homie.The big surprise for us though was only a few steps away outside.We was not expecting this wonderfull warm ,soothing,relaxer.It really made our5 hour drive from southern Michigan worth the arrival,to ease our anxiety from the long drive.A perfect end to a long day.We recommend this property.And will love to stay again more than one night next time. »

« This was a fantastic place to stay. We were in town for a concert and there was plenty of room for 3 adults and a teen. This property is beautiful. We loved feeding the ducks!! It’s very quiet there also. The inside of the home is dated but didn’t bother us a bit!! It was very cozy and welcoming. »

« We spent most of our time hiking, but this cabin was very nice. It would definitely be good for a family with all the outdoor space, games, etc. Check in and communication were great, and the location to Shades State park can’t be beat. We will definitely stay again if back in this area. »

« I booked this property for the groomsman party of my friend’s wedding and it was great. There was plenty of space for us all to be comfortable and get ready for the wedding. The wedding venue, Owl Ridge, was only 5 minutes away. A coffee shop was also in walking distance. Communication with the host was very efficient and simple. It was a great weekend »

« There was no Cable, or WIFI as stated in the listing. There was not running water as stated in the listing. The heating/AC unit was very poor and did not keep the house warm. There was dog hair all over the place, yet the listing stated pet free. There were leaks on the walls with brown streaks running down the walls that had not been tended to. The linens smelled as if they had not been washed. There were dead bugs all over the walls and windows in the bathroom. The bathroom and bedroom windows...

« My groomsmen and I rented this place for a guys weekend before my wedding. We absolutely loved it. Awesome house and place to stay plenty to do and very clean! The hosts were kind and even sent us all a wedding gift! Excellent communication! Great stay! »

« My husband and I and our son and his wife were in town for a wedding. We were so glad to find a property close to the wedding venue (believe me - there aren’t many). As soon as we walked in the door, we knew we loved it! The decor is simple and clean. Everything was in order, very neat, and the place is bright and airy. Plush bedding, soft blankets, comfortable furniture. It’s just very homey. We walked around the massive yard and found a creek running through it. Lori, the host, is so friendly...
