Welcome to Funky Leucadia where you are greeted with old north county vibes and new energy. The Leucadia Place is a quaint 2bed/2bath updated 1927 home perched on the hillside facing the pacific. No a/c but coastal breezes keep things fresh and cool with beautiful sunsets too!

the Leucadia Place is best for a couple with a child (or two) or a couple with a friend. Please look at the full description to see if our place suits you. A rare and unique quality of a vacation rental is that WE ARE dog/cat FRIENDLY and have no size restrictions but please pay the pet fee and let us know so we can set up. If you're fur-ball tears up the things, it happens, but we expect you to be upfront about it and accommodate repairs/replacement.

West of interstate 5 and east of coast highway, we are perfect for a seasonal track rental or a weekend stay! Summer season is on, Bing Crosby season is November 3-28! 15% discount on 28+ day stay!

The home is just a short 8 miles north (10-15 min) from the Del Mar Race track so if you're looking to rent for the 2024 track season, ask ASAP for an inclusive monthly rate. The dates may be pre-blocked for this opportunity so please reach out.

Don't waste your energy on a hotel when you can have your own little home, with all a home has to offer but with no parking fees, no resort fees, and no waiting in lines. Plenty of space for 2 cars behind the electric gate.

The primary bedroom has a nice, firm queen size bed with en-suite bathroom and the secondary bedroom provides a twin-sized trundle bed with a select comfort upper mattress and a firm trundle underneath.

We are fully furnished with a full kitchen, full laundry, equipped for a quick get away or long unplug. Its a beautiful and rustic home sitting on a large lot, with orange, lemon, grapefruit trees and lots of space.

Bringing a four legged friend? No problem. Just know that with the size of the lot and rural surrounding properties, skunks, opossums and raccoons have been seen from time to time.

A large outdoor deck is great for afternoon lunches and evening sunsets.

The owner lives locally and can be available if anything arises.

Weekly/bi-weekly cleaning available at an extra charge.

Relaxing Stay Near the Beach
Outstanding rental property for those traveling with pets! The house is walking distance from downtown Leucadia/Encinitas but on a quiet street. The property is huge, fully-fenced and well-landscaped with lots of fruit trees and a small garden. Partial ocean views throughout. Nicely furnished. Host was great. We loved our stay.

Took a short three day trip and found this amazing property on orbits. Honestly I did not know orbits rented entire homes! The owner of this property was easily the best property owner I have ever dealt with and i have rented many vacation homes. The house is beyond amazing and in a great area! My trip was a nightmare but only because of my turo rental. The owner helped me out when the vehicle broke down in the nearby mall, and offered to take me and pick up w battery for the rental! Incredibly thankful and happy I picked this property! I plan to stay at his rental again in the future and would suggest you DO NOT pass up on this property!! You will thank me later! Thank you for creating such an amazing space for people to stay on their vacations!

Beautiful home in an amazing location
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! The owner was very hospitable and great to communicate with. The home was very clean and had all the things we like to enjoy a vacation. The home was private and gated and on a hill with views of the ocean. Very close proximity to restaurants and the beach. We look forward to staying here again. We highly recommend this home!

Don’t take kids , spiders , bugs , skunks and other animals running around the property they should do pest control once in awhile, Horrible TV service! Terrible uncomfortable Beds , left our vacation a night early because I could not take sleeping on that bed one more night! Then owner charging more money afterwards for additional pet fees ! Find somewhere else !

Pleasant stay

Jason & Lilly are great hosts! They communicated with me to make sure our stay was enjoyable...& it was! Jason happened to be at the house when we arrived & gave us a little history about the house. The property was perfect for our doggies (even included them in the welcome sign!). The house is old, but has been tastefully remodeled & upgraded. The location is perfect for venturing out or exploring Leucadia & Encinitas. Hope to be back again!

Wonderful Chill Spot for Vivi and Us
❤️ Vivi's Chill Vacation Spot ❤️ Our family, including out dog Vivi, had a wonderful time staying in Encinitas on this lovely property. The home was very nice and it was such a wonderful situation to have a large fully fenced property with secured access only. The home had a very nice energy and it was easy to feel comfortable right away. IYKYK . The property is in a quiet area, but not far from the hustle and bustle of the beach, if that's what you prefer. Two of our days were a bit warm between 2 pm through 5 pm, so consider those temperature changes if you decide to walk or ride your bikes to PCH or onto the beach. The house has fantastic air flow for these warmer hours. There are also additional fans, if you enjoy lots of extra air flow. Definitely consider bringing or renting bikes; eBikes are rentable on PCH. We loved the kitchen, even though we didn't use the stove or oven. The home has all you'd need for pots, pans, utensils, etc., of you'd like to cook or bake. For us, who stock the refrigerator with a variety of drinks, cut fruit and other snacks for which the refrigerator was very roomy to add many things. If you are a big fan of cold water, regular ice and crushed ice, then you're also set. The orchard had the prettiest scent of citrus and orange flowers (blossoms?). It was really well fenced and safe for Vivi to explore. While we didn't see any squirrels or possums, we did see a small lizard and a neighborhood cat. We really enjoyed our stay at this home. It's a very safe property for your dog to visit and safely explore. We cater our trips for Vivi, so this property was A+ quality for her. We'd recommend bringing bikes for an easier beach access than walking or being brave enough to try to find car parking along the beach line. Definitely setup a UberEats and DoorDash account in advance; whether you place an order to pickup or for delivery from any of the restaurants. Most restaurants require orders to be placed through a food delivery third party like these two companies and have contactless options. Beach restaurants had lines out the door during the sunny beach weekend and we were able to get food delivery from busy restaurants in less than an hour with delivery. Lastly, Vons, Ralphs, Walmart and Target are less than 10 minutes away; learn where those are right away for anything you may need, including filling the refrigerator with drinks, snacks and ice cream. Thank you so much to Jason. We are so grateful.

Another great stay at this special Property. Lots of outdoor space for our pups and very comfortable and spacious inside. Jason is very easy to work with and even offered to shop for us before our arrival. We come to the area several times a year and this property will always be our first choice.

Lovely Leucadia Home Near I-5 and Downtown Encinitas
We had a lovely 9 night stay at Jason's property in Leucadia. We brought our two dogs and they loved roaming the 1/3 acre property. We also enjoyed checking out all Leucadia and Encinitas have to offer - we especially enjoyed the winery just a half mile from the house, Le Papagaya, and the many bars and restaurants in Encinitas. We also really appreciated the location of the house just west of I-5, which gave us great access to get into San Diego and out to Temecula when we wanted to check out the wineries. The home is spacious and had everything we needed for our stay, including an extensive supply of Keurig pods, a smart TV, and two well appointed bathrooms. Probably our favorite feature was all of the fresh citrus fruit out in the yard that Jason encouraged us to enjoy. We'd definitely stay again next time we're in San Diego and looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat with all of the comforts of home.

The pictures don't do it justice...this place is fabulous.
Jason and Lilly have a splendid place here! It's a 2-BR, 2-BA renovated/remodeled ranch house on a large lot with orange, grapefruit and maybe lemon trees. Oranges and grapefruit were in season, so we enjoyed those immensely. From either the front porch or the rear deck, you can see the ocean in the distance. It's a pleasant 3-block walk to the Coast Highway, with lots of choices for food. It's a great area for biking! The house has a nice gas range/oven for cooking, excellent fridge, good laundry facilities. Our visit spanned Christmas, so Jason & Lilly brought in an actual, live tree...and decorated it. Also a wreath and fragrant pinecones, even exterior illumination. The lot is gated with power gate, so it's your own little personal slice of SoCal heaven. The area around this old ranchette has grown into townhomes and condos, but you can still get that funky 60s or 70s vibe here, while enjoying all the amenities of a modern and tastefully decorated (in beach theme) home. Really terrific.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The neighborhood was quiet. The fenced -in yard was perfect for our little dog. Perfect amount of space for 3 people. The yard has a lot of fruit trees and a garden, which was fun to wander through. The locked gate at the front made the property feel very secure and safe. Good communication with Jason. We didn't need any help, but i always knew I could reach him if needed.
