Nassawadox Creek Waterfront Home with Private Pool

All bedrooms, living room and dining room have expansive views of Nassawadox Creek. Stroll down to the private dock for an evening drink, to fish or go crabbing. Take out one of our 2 kayaks to explore the creek and bay. When you return from exploring, jump into the newly renovated pool and sun on the deck pool is open as of May 1,2022. Note it is an unheated pool.

It has a master bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. Two bedrooms and a shared bathroom with shower tub are on the second floor. There is a half bath for guests on the first floor. This house is our family vacation home and is in a rural, quiet area. No parties are permitted. Cape Charles is a 40 minute drive. Wachapreague is 30 minutes. Chatham Vineyards is 25 minutes. Take day trips up to Chincoteague or Kiptopeke Park and retreat back to a quiet sanctuary. The nearest grocery store is 15 minutes away in Exmore, Virginia.

Wonderful relaxing stay
The property was as described in the listing. It was peaceful, relaxing and secluded. We traveled with our three teenage kids and dogs. The kids absolutely loved the pool and our dogs were immediately relaxed. We were able to catch blue crabs off of the dock, no luck in fishing but that was probably more us then the area. Would absolutely return to the rental. It was an amazing break from a hectic life. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

Beautiful week away from it all!
What a wonderful place to unwind and really relax! The house is very spacious with lots of character, which i love. Kitchen has everything you need. The outdoor space was amazing. Pool was fantastic, i love a pool deep enough to actually be able to swim!! At night, you could see more than just stars, you could see whole galaxies! We love places like this that are away from any hustle and bustle. Thank you for sharing your home.

Relaxing
Very rural location so it was quiet and peaceful. My family loved it! Perfect and plenty of room for my husband and I and our 4 kids. The pool was great and the water temperature was perfect. Kayaking was fun and crabbing too. We caught and released every day. My son was excited every morning to check for crabs and look for jellyfish! I enjoyed my coffee every morning on the dock. Took a day a couple day trips to some touristy areas then came back to a peaceful evening of swimming. I could go on and on. Thank you

The house was great. The pictures online are accurate but don’t show the ruralness of the property. It is very quiet and relaxing. We had some bad weather which was unfortunate but the house was big enough for 7 of us to enjoy some indoor activities and we still had a great time.

Great Place for a Family Weekend!
We had 3 generations at the house for father's day weekend / bike event in the area. The area is peaceful and serene but still engaging enough to keep 2 teenagers involved and mainly off their phones! It was a beautiful & peaceful of a break.

A beautiful, peaceful stay
This property is stunning, very private with lots to do. The size of the home is perfect for one or two small families. Fast wifi and smart tv's were great. There was plenty of bedding and towels that are soft and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, oils and spices. The pool is excellent, and the views of the creek are so beautiful. We saw so many different birds, caught crabs, went kayaking, grilled and spent hours enjoying the pool. A short 30-minute drive to Cape Charles offers lots of cute shops and restaurants for a bit of beach town life, but we were happy to just hang out in this comfortable, quiet and fun retreat. It was hard to leave, but we had an amazing time. Thank for a wonderful stay in your home!

Peaceful and spacious
We had such a great weekend here!! We had 3 generations together in this home and everyone enjoyed themselves while having enough space to themselves. Our 5 year old and nearly 2 year old both needed an extra nap from all the time they spent running around the property and playing in & near the water. There's so much to do outside and you cannot beat the water views from every window! The biggest plus is how serene it is. It's a big property with lots of outdoor space and some beautiful mature plants; peonies, rhododendrons, honeysuckle and some other flowers were in bloom during our stay in early May. I loved how quiet the area was, and seeing the moon reflected in the bay at night after getting the little ones to bed- the windows are huge, so many views! We had everything we needed for a vacation in one spot and didn't leave at all aside from a food run. Our older son loved getting out on the kayaks and searching for snails, crabs, fish and oysters. Next time we come we will definitely try crabbing! The property manager was so nice and takes great care of the place and its visitors. Already hoping to get more vacation time in this place!

Great spring getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our spring visit. The property is spacious, clean, comfortable and well appointed. Host was very accommodating. The location is beautiful. We enjoyed fishing in the creek from our kayaks, and found a few productive spots near the marsh islands. We also ventured out to discover some of the surrounding areas. Overall, a great place to relax and enjoy nature. One opportunity for improvement - the water heater was unusually inconsistent at shower time.

So, the pictures online does not capture the beauty of the place. It far more then what is listed online. The view is beautiful omg. If u love to fish its the right place. There was crab, shrimp, fishes n the best part is that everything included, wish I knew earlier. The pool with the view is amazing.

Beautiful, peaceful and quiet place. The pictures say a thousand words. Loved the pool, crabbing , fishing and kayaking. Well stock kitchen, very clean and neat. Ben, the property manager, was very helpful and friendly, Our dog enjoyed her walks around the property.

Wonderful family trip
Quiet relaxing getaway to sit by the pool and go fishing! The pool was a hit with the kids and the beautiful view and peace by the dock was great for the adults! The wifi was great for the remote location but you will need to plan on cooking for yourself while you are there unless you are up for a long drive to town or nearby cities! The kitchen is well stocked and very clean. The owners have items stocked in the house in case you forget something! I was pleasantly surprised linens were included which was awesome! One less thing to do on vacation! Cook your own crabs and fish right off the dock or kayak while the kids swim and play is our idea of a great weekend! We loved our stay at this house it was perfect for our no fuss, simple and delightful weekend away!

This was a much needed vacation. My 83 year old father was in and out of the hospital over the past month and had some close calls, and a week and a half before this vacation my oldest brother passed away, which hit me hard. We needed some peaceful, quiet time and this place delivered. Beautiful setting and comfortable home. I loved the pool the most and hubby got to kayak and fish to his heart’s content! We did a couple of day trips to Cape Charles and Chincoteague, and the drive to each place didn’t take long. Super nice people (especially Ben, the property manager next door, who was kind enough to lend our daughter one of his bikes to ride). We saw egrets, osprey, and a couple of bald eagles and a turtle came to visit out on the front walk! Home was clean, well stocked and comfy. Our schnauzer mix, Pippa, enjoyed herself too! We hope to be able to visit this place again one day. Thank you for a much needed, stress free and peaceful vacation!

Best getaway!
My wife and I stayed at this amazing property for a week around memorial day. This is a magical place away from the hustle of life. We fished and caught crabs off the dock and had crab for lunch/dinner every day! The pool is amazing, and the deck around it looked to be new. The house was super clean when we arrived, and the property manager Ben was great too! Located is about an hour from VA Beach and an hour from Chincoteague Island w/wild ponies. We enjoyed day trips and looked forward to coming back to the pool and the amazing view of the creek. The yard was huge to wake our dogs. They also had a blast! I can't say enough about this place, it was a perfect getaway the amenities were as described and we are considering another stay as soon as possible. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home. Absolutely perfect
If you want quiet tranquil views with just enough wild life to keep it entertaining, this is the perfect place. We were visited by Peacock, deer, Osprey, and heron during our stay. It rained most of the week so we weren’t able to enjoy the pool but the house is so spacious and has fantastic views that being inside was nice too. Definitely take time to visit Cape Charles.
