« Beautiful cabin very friendly owners. Had a couple hiccups at first but all worked out. It is secluded and peaceful yet still close enough to any stores or activities that you might want to do while you are there. There are no TVs and we didn’t kiss them at all we took time to sit in the porch, listen to the creek and birds, we even did a puzzle while were were there. Thank you to the hosts that allowed us to escape from our everyday life. »

« The home is beautiful and in a great location. I really liked having the walking trails so close and my daughter loved going down to the river each evening to play in the river. I hope that we will be able to go back again. »

« A very warm rustic stay away from home. Everything was very clean, easy find stuff for cooking, comfortable furniture, and the beds were the best to sleep on, I stay out of town a lot so it was nice to have a good night sleep. The outdoor scenery is breathtaking with the greenery & woods with a beautiful flowing spruce creek to listen too. Would most definitely recommend anyone to stay here and would rebook again in the future if available. »

« The property was very nice. My only complaint was the lack of sound proofing as i am a very light sleeper and I could hear everything no matter if I closed the bedroom door or not. We enjoyed our stay right next to the trail at the river. »

« Location to highway was excellent. Sheetz gas station & a restaurant within walking distance. Stayed here for a Penn State football weekend. Absolutely loved all of the chic decor and attention to detail in the house. Plenty of room for our family of four. Host was quick to respond to messages. Will recommend to others and would 100% stay here again. »

« After some initial confusion regarding where the front door was located, I escorted my out of town guests past the fence and into the house which was very cozy. It’s cute, it’s quirky, and it’s conveniently located near a great restaurant. I would recommend this location to anyone staying in the area. »

« We had a pleasant stay at the Oar House. The upstairs mattresses were harder than what we personally prefer (side sleepers complained of hip and shoulder pain) and couldn't get the remote on the Sleep Number mattress downstairs to work. I'm not sure if it was the remote or user error though. The drip pans on the stovetop burners were a little greasy (as were the utensils beside the stove from splatters), but everything else was very clean. « From day one this property felt like home. Its simple but immaculate. Everything was pristine and clean. Everything you could possibly need was provided. The host was amazing in communicating throughout the entire process from booking to checkout. They had wonderful recommendations for local eateries and things to do as well. Located centrally we were able to visit both Gettysburg and the Pittsburgh Zoo. We had an amazing stay in this wonderful home away from home. »
