Newly Remodeled Gorgeous Authentic Cabin Near DeSoto State Park

The craftsmanship of this cabin is a work of art. Nestled on the mountainside, the cabin was built from reclaimed timbers. It is Non-Smoking, Pet-Free and located minutes from DeSoto State Park County Store and about 5 miles from downtown Mentone. Enjoy a dip in the hot tub after a day full of fun. (The hot tub is drained, cleaned and refilled with new water after each guest.). The kitchen and bathrooms have been beautifully remodeled while keeping the original beams and timbers in place. Enjoy cooking in a fully equipped kitchen with sleek new stainless steel appliances and marble countertops. Take your pick upstairs or downstairs - Begin your day in a custom walk-in shower with natural slate tile and river rock, a rain shower head, and frameless glass shower door surround. Cozy up next to a fire in the fire pit and admire the stars. Enjoy hiking, sightseeing and exploring in nearby Historic Mentone, DeSoto State Park, DeSoto Falls, and Little River Canyon. Take in a round of golf at one of the local golf courses or go horseback riding through the trails in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The area has so much to offer. All that is missing is you.

4th Anniversary Bliss
We loved our stay at this beautiful little cabin. Nathan was a blessing to work with. He went above and beyond to help us with information, not only about checking in and out, but he also provided information about local places to eat and some things we might enjoy doing. The atmosphere was perfect for our 4th Anniversary to celebrate, rest, explore the local trials and beautiful scenery. We hope to come back sometime during the summer! Thank you Nathan for sharing such a wonderful place for us to stay.

Rest and relaxation!
Nathan’s property is absolutely wonderful. My husband and I needed some time away and Nathan’s cabin fit the bill exactly. Easy to get to, matches description and will exceed your expectations. Upon our arrival the forecast going and the Christmas tree lit up the cozy den. The hot tub was so relaxing. The entire cabin was spotless and so cozy. Highly recommend!

The cabin is beautiful. It has all updated finishes without taking away the rustic charm. Kitchen had anything you needed to cook a meal, plenty of dishes and utensils. Nice deck and great for pit area. We really enjoyed the hot tub! Great location - only thing I would say that wasn’t perfect is it’s located at a pretty busy intersection, but there was not much noise from traffic . Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

We had a lovely stay, it’s a beautiful cabin and it is very accommodating, it has been wonderful updated and the surroundings were nice and quiet. We enjoyed hiking at Cloudland State Park My only negative would be the directions from our gps and from the written correspondence, neither were helpful in finding the cabin. Finally had to call the property manager.

We keep coming back!
This is the 3rd year we have stayed in this cabin for our annual anniversary trip. It’s so perfect that we haven’t even bothered looking for a different cabin. The location is perfect. The cabin itself is perfect for a couple. The host is outstanding and always so helpful. I’m sure we’ll be back in November 2025 for anniversary stay #4!

My wife and I had a wonderful weekend stay for our anniversary! The cabin is beautifully restored and had everything we needed. We loved the quiet, its location in the woods, and the close proximity to so many hiking trails. The hot tub was great, kitchen well stocked, and the craftsmanship of the cabin was incredible. Nathan did a fantastic job of communicating. Would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in the Fort Payne and Mentone area!
