Fantastic Place to Meet
We gathered together as a leadership team and found it to be a perfect place to meet, walk/hike, eat and relax together. A great meeting space on the top floor and yet still plenty of space to scattered for off-meeting time. The area was great to get out and do walks that ranged from casual to strenuous. Highly recommend!

Breathtaking!!!!
Amazing views! Easy access to hiking and fishing. Gorgeous home, nicely decorated. The BEST communication ever with the host. Quick to answer and full of information about the area. We brought our kids and grands out for 5 nights and had a wonderful time making more memories. We walked to the trailhead to hike Saint Marys. My older grandsons jumped in that freezing cold lake up there while we could see snowboarders!! . Lots of exploring around the area. Fished at the private lake and did family photos. Drove to nearby Georgetown to ride the Georgetown Loop train and did the mining tour. Went to Red Rock. Explored Idaho Springs a neat little town. Loved trying the casinos at Black Hawk. So much to do and all very near. It snowed two times while there and it’s June! The snow on the mountains, the scenery and the Hummingbirds were nice. Highly recommend and hope to go back in warmer climate to do some rafting! Thank you Stacia and Pete for the hospitality!!!!

Amazing property
Beautiful cabin in the mountains. Views were amazing! If you are looking more of a log cabin feel than a house, then this is the perfect property for you. If I could give the owners more than 5 stars for communication, I would. They were super helpful and shared a lot of great information. They even provided suggestions on the best place hold our vow renewal ceremony which worked out perfectly! The location is away from the tourist areas which was great. Thank you so much Pete & Stacia for making our ceremony special!

Ski trip house!
This was the perfect house for our ski week! We rented Stacia and Pete’s house for our annual ski trip. The house itself was great - a few little quirks (steam shower doesn’t work, fridge was a little temperamental and the wifi was spotty) other than that it was the perfect spot! I didn’t realize when I booked this but it is a HIKE to get anywhere so plan accordingly if you’re using this house on a ski trip it’s about an hour + to all the resports (it looks a little closer on the map)! We had a great stay- thanks again!

We had another property booked that canceled at the last minute due to pipes freezing and bursting in their home. This home was the only one available during our timeframe. Stacia and Pete were extremely helpful and very accommodating. They have wonderful communication and are easy to get ahold of. Their home is very remote and very high altitude, 10,500 feet! I would not recommend for anyone with asthma or any type of respiratory issues at all. It also takes a good amount of time to travel to the house - even with 4-wheel drive! I would not plan to use the outdoor grill. It has some damage to it which causes the lid to not sit right, etc. Otherwise, we had a great time and a very relaxing time! Perfect Mountain Holiday Retreat
We had such a wonderful time escaping to the View Haus for Thanksgiving with family from Colorado, California and Pennsylvania. The house was so comfy and cozy, a scene out of a Hallmark holiday movie. We had show falling outside, a fire roaring inside and lots of memories being made. A nice jaunt into "town" is easy! We would definitely return!

Mountain Retreat
The house was exactly as represented, clean and beautifully decorated. Everything we needed was there including the kitchen essentials. The WiFi & phone service was a little spotty but that's what we expected. It was a perfect off the grid location. Perfect area for hiking and exploring the mountains including the shortcut to St Mary's Glacier. The only shortcoming we found that master bed was not as comfortable as we expected for this quality home. We enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend it to our friends.

Pictures do not do this home and location justice!!! Pete and Stacia have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable! From booking the View Haus to checking out the owners were quick to respond to any questions we had about our stay. The View Haus is equipped with everything you will need for an amazing vacation! Heaven at 10,000 feet
Our stay at this beautiful cabin exceeded our expectations. We felt at home right away and were amazed with the breathtaking views. It is located off a small road but just a two minute drive to the private lake where we used the paddle boards and fishing rods. We used the owners’ shortcut to hike to Glacier Lake and that saved us some time and having to park the car. The owners have provided all the comforts of home, The steam shower in the master bath was amazing! Very nice after a long hike. Our families shuffled through the board games upstairs, and started a 1000 piece puzzle, hopefully the next guests finish it. We enjoyed breakfast each morning in the dining area with the most beautiful views of the trees and mountains. The kitchen had everything we needed and there are extra spices and baking ingredients in case you forget a thing or two at Safeway. We were in communication with the friendly owners when we had questions, they were super helpful and responsive. Lots of towels blankets and pillows and the fireplace downstairs can heat the whole cabin. We had a wonderful trip and we hope to return again one day.

Truly have trouble finding the words for how amazing this property was and how great Pete and Stacia were as hosts. They were gracious enough to allow us to have our small elopement ceremony here with a few friends and family. The house was absolutely incredible and an awesome location. The house was as described, but the photos don’t do it justice. Stacia & Pete we’re amazing, thought of everything. We all loved the location, layout, and the views are just wow! Terrific property and wonderful hosts
Pete and Stacia were wonderful. Communication began right after booking and they continued to provide updates through checkin and during our stay. There was a waterline break further down the mountain that impacted the house and they were on top of communication and options. We decided to stay in any case and they were super responsive and made sure the house kept a full water tank and providing bottled water to make the stay easier. The house is amazing. It is nicely laid out and beautifully decorated. The views and activities are amazing. We were up for our daughter's graduation in early May and while the lakes were still frozen, we were able to get some downtime, relax, enjoy the house and do some hiking. We definitely want to plan a return trip! Thank you so much Pete and Stacia for sharing your place with us!

Great Winter Getaway for a small work retreat
We stayed here for a small work retreat with a few co-workers and it was great. Awesome kitchen to cook in, great set up for our meetings around the kitchen table or couches. We hiked from the house up to the glacier which was a blast as well. The four bedrooms made it easy for us to get our own space as well. Thank you, Pete and Stacia!

Christmas wonderland
Perfectly named: View Haus brings the majesty of nature up close through ceiling high windows looking out on tall dark pines and breathtaking mountain peaks. Home is comfortable and welcoming — warm woods, deep plush couches and chairs — a gas fireplace on lower level as well as a wood burning one upstairs. Our hosts beautifully decorated for Christmas and, as an unforeseen bonus, we were blanketed with a Christmas Eve snow. Hiking was right out our door and made all the more enjoyable by the freshly fallen powder. Note: be aware of the impact of altitude if you’ve not experienced it. This home is over 10,000 feet above sea level — so you’ll need to hydrate and pace yourself. Worth it: The beauty is unparalleled.
