Anchors Away on Jekyll Island | 3 Bed, 2 Bath

This newly-renovated, contemporary coastal duplex is a short walk to the beach. It is perfect for a family get-away with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in an established beach community.

Enjoy the private patio, a perfect place to relax by the fire or grill dinner after a day at the beach, or have your morning coffee while breathing in the salt air. We welcome your pets, and most of Jekyll Island beaches are pet-friendly with a leash. The yard is fully fenced in and includes a fire pit for you to sit around in the evenings.

The home is a 3-5 minute walk to beach access and a 2 minute drive to the beach.

Please note Jekyll Island is a state park and as part of conservation, there is a $10 per day parking fee collected at the time you enter the island. You can pay by cash or credit card.

Other things to note:
There is a $100 pet fee for those guests bringing pets.

Please consider purchasing travel insurance for your trip. This may cover you for instances of medical emergencies or inclement weather. We unfortunately can’t offer refunds for these types of situations so we want to ensure you’ve properly covered yourself.

For stays of 30 nights or more, we will collect a $750 refundable security deposit.

Best sleep- EVER !!!
Very clean and modern inside. We had enough towels, dish soap, Keurig, seating and space. The Island is perfectly quaint and unique. We stayed for 2 weeks and it felt warm and cozy. We would book this house again

Everything you need for a beach vacation
Anchors Away had everything my family needed for a relaxing beach vacation. The kitchen had plenty of space and all the appliances we needed. It has a nice grill and fire pit on the patio plus a hose to wash off our sandy feet when we got back from the beach. The beach is an easy two block walk and much quieter than the beaches near the hotels. Everything was very clean, thank you for a wonderful stay on beautiful Jekyll Island!

Fabulous location and lovely home on Jekyll Island
We stayed at Anchors Away on Jekyll Island as a stop-over on our way from Ft. Myers to Boone, NC. We were impressed with the spacious flow of the house and lovely furnishings. Every room was clean and comfortable (including the main bedroom mattress) with nice linens and towels. The backyard has a deck area and fenced in lawn off the patio that was ample space for our border collies. This is a duplex home and it was quiet even with neighbors next door. The location is great as it is less than a 5minute walk to the beach access! The beach was beautiful, clean and not too crowded (we were there from 6/26-6/29/24). We enjoyed seeing the deer at various places along the walk to the beach as they appear to be comfortable in the neighborhood where it is quiet with lovely trees and vegetation. The property manager was available when we needed to communicate with her and she was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed a fabulous meal from the Beach House restaurant (shrimp and grits)! We did take-out since we did not want to dine-out with the pups and the restaurant is less than 5 minutes away and had great take-out service. We enjoyed our stay at Anchors Away and we will be making our reservation to return there next June! We highly recommend this lovely home is you visit Jekyll Island! Blaise and Karen

Perfect location
The house was cute and very clean. Initially had a little difficulty opening the door, the key code given didn't work, and it was late (after 11:00pm), but I messaged the host who was able to open the door for me. Everything else was smooth. I loved being able to walk to the beach. The master bed was comfortable and the coffee was much appreciated.

I stayed here during my wedding weekend and it was also where all the bridesmaids & I got ready. It was the perfect space for us. The natural lighting was also great for a few pictures. The location was also amazing, very close to all the places we needed to go to!

This a super clean recently renovated duplex with a fenced back yard. It is a 5 min walk to the beach. We LOVED it. The bikes available to borrow made our day! The yard was super convenient for our ridgeback. I cannot say thank you enough!

Jekyll Island -- a biker's paradise.
Anchors Away was a wonderful place to stay to access all that Jekyll Island has to offer. Centrally located, it was easy to get to golf, beach, shops, historic district and bike paths. It was so well equipped. If we had a question or issue, the owner responded within the hour after we emailed.

Wonderful Family Weekend
The most wonderful stay. Our hosts were prompt and responsive. The home was perfectly clean. Our kids loved the space and so did we. We had family come over for dinner and they want to book the house for their next vacation! We were able to walk to the beach, enjoy the back patio, or cook dinner in the lovely kitchen for a relaxing night in. Perfect for our family of four. Could not recommend this house more!

Amazing!
The photos don’t do it justice. This duplex is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Really nice amenities including a fabulous coffee station (and we are coffee snobs). We forgot our beach chairs and we really happy to fine they were supplies along with beach towels. The fire pit in the back was perfect for the evenings. Very close and easy walk to the beach and bike trails. The neighbors are quiet and friendly. This is one of the nicest VRBOs we have seen. We are already planning to come back for another stay.

Perfect for our vacation
Traveled from Minnesota with my son and two 16yo grandchildren. This house was perfect for us. All three bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious and the bathrooms suited us well. The whole house was immaculate and stocked with every possible need. Loved having the patio to relax on the warm evenings. The neighborhood was quiet and conveniently located. Perfect fall break
This home was absolutely perfect for our weekend fall break which just happened to be the same weekend as the Shrimp & Grits Festival -score! The home is beautifully decorated with a beach theme in every room. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog and the fire pit area was a great place to relax outside. We absolutely loved the sunroom. The property manager provided us with all the details we needed to make our stay wonderful. Definitely will be back.

Exceptional stay. Everything we needed and more. Clean, well decorated and upscale place. The rental has been remodeled to make it modern, relaxing and comfortable. Everyone loves it. Very quiet neighborhood with a short walk to the beach. Backyard is fenced and safe for pets. Parking is good. The design of house allows for good seperation between those who like to stay up late and those who want to go to bed early. Will come back again!

Great Temporary Dwelling
The duplex unit was like a temporary home away from home, very comfortable and roomy, and it had everything we needed. It was perfect for entertaining our guests. The latte machine was a great unexpected plus and a hit with the younger family members and friends. And the evening fires at the firepit were cozy like being at home in Texas. The lady living in the adjacent duplex was quite friendly, as well as the other people we encountered in the neigborhood.

Beautiful home!
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home just a couple blocks from the beach. Our dogs loved the fully fenced in backyard and the rest of our family enjoyed the spacious kitchen and living areas. It is truly one of the cleanest, well stocked homes we have ever stayed in. Our kids loved being near the bike path and a short walk/drive to the beach.

This is a beautifully decorated home. We thoroughly enjoyed having the extra space of three bedrooms. The family room and kitchen set up were perfect. The house was located on a nice, quiet street, and we were able to get to restaurants and the beach very easily. Overall, a wonderful weekend and we hope to return as soon as possible.

It truly exceeded my expectations, everything was well organized and super clean, beds were wonderful, location was great....I love that fact that I could bring my fur babies that is always a plus, beach was great shopping food awesome. If there is one thing I would say I wish I knew in advance is the daily parking fee that was not part of the discription, and I only wished we had a option to rent a Golf cart maybe some bikes. Other then this everything was great. Thank you, Roman family....
