« This place was a special place for us. The team at Karatu really were special who did out of their way to provide for us when there were issues, and when the first room seemed to have issues (shower drainage, bee hive on the roof, urine smell) they quickly changed the room to a better closer room, and always were helpful in arranging or finding different solutions for transportation issues etc. The place is located 2 hours from Arusha, and around 30 mins from the main gate for Ngorongoro crater....

« This is a lovely property that is more than adequate for a short stay. The grounds are beautiful, the views spectacular and the rooms are comfortable. It had essentially two issues that would stop me from returning. The first is that the meals were not great. Most of the food is provided in chafing dishes and that just doesn’t lend itself to quality eats. « We had a wonderful experience staying at NJIA Panda tented lodge. The property is only about two years old, so everything in in great condition. We were the only guests one of the two nights and received exceptional service. The meals were great with serving sizes so large we were never able to finish. We initially had issues getting hot water and the staff immediately had a team out and got it fixed in no time at all. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. »

We had to phone the number provided then pay someone to lead us there. The sitting area was nice and there was plenty of ventilation.
