The Space:
Beckford Tiny House 1 by Tiny Away is a rural retreat in Marchmont, just a 50-minute drive from Canberra. This cozy hideaway offers sweeping views over the front paddock and large dam. Close to Murrumbateman’s wineries and the natural wonders of Wee Jasper, it’s also within reach of Canberra attractions like the National Arboretum, Cockington Green Gardens, and the Canberra Walk-In Aviary.
A comfortable, 139-square-foot accommodation is set in one of the best tiny house rentals and serene locations with abundant natural bushland, easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.
These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there will be a second tiny house called "Beckford Tiny House 2" that sits on the same property. If you want to book in groups, please contact your land host 24 hrs in advance to make arrangements. They are 20 meters away from each other.
Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny house and surrounding areas. The main house and areas down the other driveway are restricted. All paddocks have restricted access, animals can be met over the fence along the driveway.

Beckford Tiny House 1 by Tiny Away offers a straightforward countryside experience 50 minutes from Canberra in the locality of Marchmont. Perched on a hill with views over the paddocks and dam, it’s a great base for exploring the Yass Valley region. The area is known for its agricultural roots, wineries, and proximity to outdoor attractions like Murrumbateman and Wee Jasper.

Getting Around:
By Car:
- From Sydney: 3-hour drive south, 230 km from Campbelltown.
- From Melbourne: 6-hour drive north, 600 km from Melbourne Airport.
- From Canberra City: 50-minute drive, 60 km from the city center.
- Beckford is reachable by 2WD. Note: 5 km of dirt road from Yass to Beckford, and 12 km of dirt road from Murrumbateman to Beckford.
By Public Transport:
- Yass has a train station. A taxi service is needed to reach Beckford.
- Directions from Beckford to Yass: Turn left onto Gums Lane, follow to the end, then right onto Wee Jasper Rd into town.
By Flight:
- Fly into Canberra Airport, then a 50-minute drive to Beckford using the directions above.
Other Things to Note:
- Pet-friendly accommodation
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas and clean after your pet’s droppings
- Pet cleaning fees applied for an additional $10 per night to include up to 2 pets.
- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out courtesy of other guests
- Please inform the host that you will bring pet for your stay prior your arrival and the fee payment shall be paid directly to your host
- Wifi is not available

- Please expect limited connectivity as the tiny house is set in a rural locality

- Please be advised that we have free-roaming farm animals (and potential noise) on our property
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional

- Mobile reception has a good signal for Telstra and Optus; Weak signals for Vodafone and no signals for the rest
- A compost bucket will be provided for the collection of food leftovers, which will be fed to the chickens on the property.
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
- As Beckford is a working farm between several much larger farms, there is a potential to hear gunshots at night when farmers are out culling feral animals. This is very limited and can only be heard occasionally and not for a long period.
