Waters Edge Private Cottage

Come live your lake life at Waters Edge Cottage on fabulous Lake Wisconsin! This property offers over 100ft of water frontage and breathtaking views of the open water! Big, open windows in the living room make you feel like you are sitting right on top of the water. This newly remodeled home is in a prime location in the heart of Merrimac, WI, 2 minutes from the public boat launch, and only 8 miles from Devil's Lake State Park, Merrimac Ferry, and Parfrey's Glen.

The perfect getaway for family and friends to enjoy some time on the water. This property offers year-round activities including swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, boating, water skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. Inside the home offers many amenities including TVs in every room, memory foam mattresses, and a fully stocked kitchen including items such as Tupperware, a NutriBullet, a coffee frother, and Crockpot! Open-concept kitchen and living room space gives you plenty of room to spread out while still being together. There are even activities for the little ones including coloring books and crayons!

Outside you will have access to the dock (no boat included), a canoe, kayaks, and a stand-up paddleboard (lifejackets are limited, so we suggest bringing your own). Other outdoor gems would be the spacious deck with access to a Weber charcoal grill, pellet smoker, Char-Boil gas grill, and a firepit (guests need to bring their own wood). In the bedroom 1 closet, you will find baby gates, iron, iron board, and crayons. In bedroom 2 open closet you will find additional bedding and other kids' activities. The deck provides you with a spectacular sunrise and sunset every day of your stay!

Please note guests may not dock/tie your boat to the pier overnight.

Also note that the TV located in the living room has Firestick. Guests will need to login and out of their streaming services when utilizing the Firestick. The master bedroom and the second bedroom do not have SMART TVS meaning guests are welcome to bring their own SMART compatible streaming device if preferred.

Guests will be sent a code 1-2 days prior to their stay as there is a smart lock on the main entrance to the home. Instructions on how to enter will be sent 1 day before arrival to your email.

This home is located in the Merrimac, WI, only 8 miles from Devil's Lake State Park, Merrimac Ferry, Devils Head, and Parfrey's Glen. Public access to Lake Wisconsin is located 2 minutes away from the home on Palisade St. in Merrimac.

Parking for the home is limited to 2 vehicles. Memorial Park is a block down from the property and has public parking available for extra vehicles and boat trailers! No street parking is available in front of the home.

Great restaurants are in Merrimac with larger cities such as Baraboo and Prairie du Sac within 20 minutes of the home. There is a small country store in town for immediate needs, but would suggest getting additional supplies at the Walmart or Grocery stores located in Baraboo.

Please be mindful of neighbors as quiet hours are from 11:00 PM-7:00 AM. Guests will be responsible for bringing their own firewood, propane, and smoker pellets.

You may not dock/tie your boat to the pier overnight.

No fires outside of the permitted fire pit/ring

If found smoking, vaping, or burning of any kind inside the unit the tenant will be charged $250. All smoking, vaping, and burning must be done outside at least 30 feet from the building.

Fireworks are strictly prohibited. Tenants found violating this policy will be charged $250.
