A peaceful location off the beaten path of the City but close to white sandy Beaches, area Casino, and shopping at Lighthouse Mall. and sleeps 102 The 6 bedroom house offers a country like setting and close to restaurants, shopping and more. Get a fresh nights sleep on mostly all new memory foam beds. The house is set up at an apartment up stairs and one down, More amenities are added as we go and as we improve the property. Cook in or carry out your favorite meal or hit some of the wonderful restaurants in the area or spend the day at the beach and come back and relax in the yard with your favorite refreshment. What I love about the property is the peacefulness. Your away from the busyness of the city but your also in driving distance to everything. A great place to kick back and read in the reading nook with a good book or pick a game that the whole family can enjoy.
However, this property offers plenty of space to spread out. With three bedrooms on each floor, two living rooms, and 2 kitchens. The kitchen's each have a stove, microwave, coffee pot, coffee, dishes, pot & pans, utensils, and more. A relaxing environment to house many people at one time so you can be close to your group. Great for wedding members, Bridesmaid outings, holiday gatherings, or family time together. Keyless entry is amazing and stress free, along with many phone charger ports helps you stay connected on the go. The gas grill offers a outdoor experience to cook up your favorite burger. With a very private back yard to sit and watch the flames of a fire in the clay fire pit vessel. What I love about the property is the peacefulness the property gives and the woods around the property makes you feel like your in the country. This property offers the short distant to the different beaches, restaurants, and Lighthouse Mall among other fun places. You are sure to enjoy your stay in an amazing home that makes you feel welcome and secure.

Beach vacay with the family!
We needed room for 10, and close to the beaches at Indiana Dunes. This home delivered! You can tell the host paid attention to details to ensure the guests had what they needed to be comfortable and the beaches were a very short drive! Don't skip the outlet mall! They had great prices too!

Holiday stay
We stayed at the property over July 4 week and weekend with a group of 11 people ages 11-81. Plenty of space for everyone including two kitchens. I do recommend bringing fans if the temps are expected to be higher. We bought two at Walmart because we stayed upstairs and it was significantly warmer than downstairs even with the a/c. We visited the casino, outlet mall, pinball and arcade, went bowling, biked, hit the beaches, town festival with fireworks, and tried some local restaurants and the bakery. It is located close to just about anything you would like to go to. The local BBQ place runs out of food quickly, so plan accordingly. The driveway has enough space for 4 vehicles, easily. If you are tall (my son is 6’4), the bathroom upstairs may be a challenge. The beds are very comfortable. Overall, we would stay again. The prison across the street didn’t affect the stay at the house or the amenities provided.

Girlfriends getaway
Overall the location was perfect to the Michigan City lighthouse, beach, zoo, and everywhere else you might was to go. We knew from other reviews that it was near a correctional facility, we just disnt realize it was the Indiana State prison. Regardless, no issues at all and the house provided everything we needed. We look forward to renting this house again.

Overall Stay
When we first arrived I thought that the the outside appearance was going to be a reflection of what would be the overall appearance. On the outside the home is old and aging but once you step inside it is one of the nicest older homes. We loved the space and the beautiful woodwork. It was a warm and comfortable experience. The home is across the road from Indiana correctional facility but we did not feel threatened or concerned. We enjoyed the accommodations and we would stay there again. It is now a part of a great memory which we will reflect upon for years to come.

Short get away
Property was as advertised, my granddaughters loved the rooms! They especially loved the reading nook! Plenty of room for the nine of us. Karen was easy to communicate with and you can definitely feel the care that she puts into the VRBO!

Excellent price and amenities!
This property exceeded our expectations! The house has tons of space. Great for a small family reunion or friend weekend getaway. There were tons of unexpected amenities. House was very clean and well decorated. It is located across the street from the prison grounds. It was honestly a non issue for us, but some might want to consider the location. We will absolutely be renting again in the future!

Enjoyable Reunion
Despite the neighborhood and house exterior, this is a great find! Yes, a state prison is across the street, but it's small and quiet. The owners spent all their effort (and $) on the interior, so don't let the outside scare you away. It's a well-built older home with lots of charm and very well-done interior decorating. Plenty of nice touches--from kitchen supplies to beach towels. Downstairs kitchen can get crowded, so plan to use the kitchen upstairs as well. Nice to have 2 living spaces, one on each floor. Beds were awesome!

Affordable One Night Stay!
We booked last minute and we’re surprised to find such a big place for an affordable price. Great backyard space for the kids to run around and even though we didn’t use them, I loved that there was wood for a bonfire, and a set of corn hole bags/boards. We did have a problem with running water but the hosts were prompt to help us with that and also offered some free complimentaries. Super nice! We did not realize until after booking that this was right across the street from the prison. However, we had no issues and felt safe during our stay. If we are ever in town for a night or two, we would probably stay again!
