The space
Location: Nestled on the quiet end of the lake you will enjoy this updated home with lots of privacy and stunning views.

Bedrooms: This light and airy home has 3 bedrooms upstairs:
Spacious master bedroom with king bed and luxury sheets and bedding. Within the closet is the ironing board and iron. Enjoy the beautiful views from the large sliding glass, or just relax and watch TV. There is an office space with access to a large deck and dining area. A gated spiral staircase from this deck gives you access to the lower level.
A queen size bed in the second bedroom with closet. Inside the closet is an extra blanket and fan with a remote control.
2 twin beds in the third bedroom perfect for kids. Plenty of closet and drawers in this room.

Kitchen/Living: There is a cozy living room on the top floor with plenty of room to read, take a nap, play a board game, or watch T.V.. The cabinets on this upper level hold several card games, checker games, books, magazines, books, and puzzles.

The lower level has another family room for a fun gathering or a quiet escape. Another television is available to watch on this level or just hang out.

The Kitchen is spacious and well-equipped. Small appliances include a waffle iron, blender, toaster, hand mixer, crock pot, and rice cooker.
Available to guests in the kitchen are main spices. From the sliding glass door on this floor you will have access to a hammock in a stand, another outdoor dining area, and a propane BBQ grill.

Parallel to the kitchen is where you will find a breezeway with another refrigerator if needed and some outdoor games such as, croquet, bocce ball, frisbees, and fabric corn hole game.

Outside near the lake is a shed which holds the paddles for the kayaks, paddle board, and paddle boat. You will also find the life jackets which is required to be with you while on the lake. There are four fishing poles in the shed. Adults are required to have fishing license to fish. The lake is very well stocked with Fresh water Bass, pike, cat fish, and blue gill. Also on the lake are a few small islands that are fun to explore (only takes minutes). The lake is surrounded by state land so there are many hiking paths to explore if you desire.

Near the lake and on the other side of the white equipment shed is a small fire pit for your use. There are four lawn chairs to use also in the shed.

2 1/2 Car Garage with remotes: Inside garage is a ping pong table with paddles and balls for guests to enjoy.

Frankenmuth, Michigan's Bavarian town is about 15-20 minutes away. There is always something fun going on each week.

Birch Run Outlet stores are also close by which is a great place to find deals on just about everything.

River Place is also a great place for shopping for unique gifts. They have memorable shops and even a spa. If you are here during the spring and summer months you can ride the steam boat in Frankenmuth. Horse drawn carriage rides are available year round in Frankenmuth. The Cheese Haus has chocolate cheese is our family favorite. I personally love the wool shop because I love quilts and wool.

Near by or in Frankenmuth is a high ropes course, small zoo, and grandpa's petting zoo and farm, Splash Village (indoor water park) which is available to anyone, even if you are not staying in the Zehnder's hotel. Tickets are available online or in person. You might want to call before heading there to make sure there is space available. It's very popular!

In the Winter our lake has an ice fishing contest, normally in February. Ask me if you are interested and I will get you the details.

Guest access
The entire home is yours! The garage is also available to our guests.
Note: There is a closet that is locked and off limits. This is a supply closet used only by our cleaners

Other things to note
Much of Murphy Lake is surrounded by state land so it is not nearly as busy as many other lakes in Michigan. The home sits on the quiet side of the lake, conducive to fishing and swimming. It is great for kayaks or the paddle board. The 4 seater paddle boat is also fun. There is a boat launch nearby-bring your own boat. The other end of the lake is great for water skiing and jet skis.

Nearby, you will find everything from local festivals, corn mazes, indoor water parks, an outlet mall, high ropes course, mini golf and a wilderness zoo.

We are also an amazing winter destination, from Bronners Christmas Wonderland, Silent Night Chapel, Zehnders Snowfest– one of the top snow and ice sculpting events in North America, shopping at Birch Run or Riverplace to ice fishing, ice-skating, cross-country skiing and much more.
