Maison au bord de l'eau à New Bern Gated Community

Belle maison de 3 chambres au bord de l'eau dans une communauté fermée et calme. Vous pouvez jouer au golf sur le parcours de golf de 18 trous du quartier, nager dans les piscines extérieure et intérieure, ou passer votre temps à faire du vélo, du kayak, de la pêche et du canotage. La ville historique de New Bern est à quelques minutes où vous pouvez visiter Tryon Palace et faire du shopping et dîner dans le centre-ville pittoresque. Atlantic Beach est à moins d'une heure. La maison dispose de plusieurs espaces de vie: une grande pièce avec des canapés confortables où vous pouvez regarder la télévision, ainsi qu'une véranda et un grand porche avec moustiquaire pour profiter de la vue sur l'eau (les deux sont parfaits pour les jours de pluie occasionnels!). Il y a une chambre principale avec un lit king size et une salle de bain avec douche, une chambre d'hôtes avec un lit queen et une chambre avec un lit double et un lit jumeau. Family Vacation
House was just as described with a gorgeous backyard on the water. Loved the sun room and screened porch for relaxing. Only suggestion for future guests is to provide directions to the community pool as no one seemed to know where it was when we asked and we had to find it on our own - also the pool manager didn’t have our names as guests so we had to go through a whole process to get permission to use the pool.

The home is well furnished and taken care of. A beautiful back yard to enjoy outdoor activities. The owners furnished plenty of outdoor games as well as board games and a nice collection of books, kayaks (the home is located right on the water.) Very good communication with the owners. We would return to their home again.

Wonderful house for a getaway!
We stayed here for a week and enjoyed it thoroughly. The weather wasn't that great so we couldn't go kayaking as much as we wanted. We did enjoy the sunroom and screened in porch. I was able to work remotely and setup my desk (a folding table I brought with me) in the sunroom so I could overlook the water while I worked. I had several video calls and had no internet issues. The house itself is laid out nicely with the master bath on one side and the 2 other bedrooms on the other. Since it was just the two of us, we didn't use the other 2 bedrooms but it would work well for a larger family. The kitchen was well stocked and we found everything we needed for a week-long stay. The location is great. Not too far from New Bern but far enough to be away from the crowds. I highly recommend it.

Great house in a great area
The house was very comfortable and clean. Even with my limited mobility, every thing was convenient and easy to use. The view and location are wonderful and quiet. We really enjoyed New Bern--a walkable city with lots of shops, trees, benches and easy parking. Good restaurants. Convenient Food Lion just 10 minutes away from the house.

The home could not have been better as 6004 Booty Lane was just what we were looking for. Clean and plenty of space for the 6 of us that came together to spend Easter together as a family. Tom & Cindy were great to work with and were very responsive to all questions. Thank you for opening your home up to us.

So the reason we stayed was difficult as we all drove in from SC for my Dad's Memorial Service. But this house was perfect. The beds were so comfortable. The entire house was warm, welcoming, and beautifully decorated. We hung out in the back sunroom most of the time, enjoying the view and coziness to share stories of my Dad. Being near water, seeing the ducks and hearing the birds was a wonderful gift.

Pictures don't do the house justice. It's a great space for some R&R. Master bedroom is huge and the sunrooms are amazing. Owners are INCREDIBLY responsive to questions. The rec center is a huge bonus if you like to play tennis, pickleball, mini golf, workout, swim, or just socialize. What a great little community Fairfield Harbor is. We've traveled all over and New Bern has some of the friendliest people we've come across. You won't find a better home for the price in the New Bern area. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Tom and Cindy!

Relaxing and Comfortable...BEST place EVER!
Hands down, our whole family agreed....This place was the BEST Vrbo place we've stayed at. Everything was amazing! The home was decorated so beautifully, but yet relaxing and cozy! Our favorite part were the sun rooms, letting the breeze come in and looking out at the beautiful waterfront backyard. The owners were easy to work with and gave great home instructions. We were sad to leave our vacation and this great home. Would def recommend and love to come back!

My wife and I highly recommend this property for your next stay! First, the communication with Cindy was excellent. She is personable and responsive. The property is clean and as described. The surrounding area is beautiful. It’s a short drive to New Bern’s downtown area. The river is beautiful and the ocean is less than an hour away. Top notch property!! Thanks again for everything!!

Perfect spot for an enjoyable week!
Stayed at the property for a week with my spouse and another couple and we had a great time. Spent most days at the pool or took a ride to the beach, which was about 40 minutes away. The home was spotless and had everything you could need. The town was about 15 minutes away and we enjoyed eating at several fine restaurants. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we were to vacation in the area. Thanks for a fun time.

Our stay at Fairfield Harbour was nice. The home is in a quiet neighborhood. We literally did not see or hear more than 2 people from the surrounding homes the entire time we were there. It was super quiet. The sunroom was a great spot for morning coffee and the screened porch would be nice for cooler evenings, though it was hot and humid each evening that we stayed. Beds were comfortable and the living & dining areas were great for family gatherings. The kitchen was a bit spotty on having the needed utensils but we made it work. Having access to a kayak was nice for exploring the nearby waterways but we didn't have much luck fishing them. Having access to the nearby recreation center was convenient. Fairfield Harbour is a resort neighborhood a bit off the beaten path. The town of New Bern is about a 15 minute drive away. We enjoyed having dinner at Morgan's and MJ's the most and also ate at Savage's and Cow Cafe. All were good. We were not prepared at first for how early everything closes in New Bern so we went in for dinner the first night to find that all the shops close early. This is a good location for a quiet, relaxing vacation.

Enough room for the family to visit family
Our parents didn't have enough space for our family so we rented this fabulous place to give our adult and teenaged kids space to do summer work before going back and forth to their grandparents. We really enjoyed the quiet, clean and comfortable living areas. The lake views and fresh air bike rides were great for bonding. The host supplied the essential needs and took special care to provide strong wifi signals (unlike the grandparent's place). We binged watched Stranger Things on Netflix and thank that host for providing a tool to ensure the safety of our passwords. The pre-stocked cabinets were a pleasant surprise. I forgot a few items (condiments, creamer and butter). The extra blankets, strong water pressure for showers, and updates about local events were also very much appreciated. This was a great visit (our first time) and we would do it again.

Absolutely one of the best VRBO’s that we have stayed. Perfect location, beautiful location, best sun porch and screened in porch. Depending on the weather that day we would switch different times. Beautifully decorated, beds slept good. Cannot wait to return. Very close to new bern also

We have been guests with Cindy and Tom on numerous occasions, always having an enjoyable stay. My mother lives in the same neighborhood, so she loves coming over for dinner. It’s a great home in a beautiful setting on the water with two great porches to enjoy the view from; one heated, one not. Grocery, gas, pizza, shopping all a few minutes away. Downtown New Bern is a short ten minutes away. We’ve been repeat guests so many times, it really feels like a second home when we stay. The home is clean and plentiful with kitchen/bedroom/bath items; and the living area is comfortable. Cindy and Tom are quick in their communication and checkin/out is simple. We, of course, will stay again. Thank you, again for your hospitality, Tom and Cindy!
