« Elevated but right on the seafront with a few steps down to the beach. Comfortable property which we loved. There is a garage for the car, but ours was a little big so had to park on the street. Plenty of places to visit nearby. We had a takeaway on night and they deliver to the back door. Loved our stay, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. »

« Sandpiper cottage is spacious and comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful. It is minutes from the beach and the lovely promenade. There are lots of places in the town to eat. It is in a great area for visiting lots of interesting places. I highly recommend this cottage. »

« Rachael’s Rest truly is a home away from home. It is relaxing, comfortable and well appointed with everything you need for a break. We were pleased to have the option of dining out or eating in depending on how we felt on the day. Very convenient with having a Morrisons store close by. We would definitely stay here again should we be in the area. »

« Lovely end of terrace cottage. Seems like a recent refurbishment but done to a good standard and very tasteful. Comfy beds all round. Well located in Alnwick, pretty much bang in the middle and 5 mins walk to the main attractions. »

« This house is outstanding. Elaine caters for everyone especially children and as we know when the kids are happy the adults can relax. We have stayed for the third time last weekend , it is such a central area with a beach minutes away also. We will be back certainly. »

« The property is very nice, nicely furnished and very clean. We did feel that it lacked in terms of things provided, such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, just one USED dishcloth. No welcome pack with instructions, and parking was very confusing. We unpacked the car a the rear of the house, which upset the neighbour. We parked in the nearby public car park for the duration of our stay. We were also disappointed to find out that there was no live TV channels. »

« On approaching the village using the postcode - and also the location link on your house details- took us quite the wrong direction and it took us about 30 minutes to find it - only after asking locals and at the pub. The description “ opposite the red gravel path” was not accurate - in fact it was “ at the red gravel path”. Perhaps a small map would be useful? Our first impressions of the house were a little disappointing. We felt that some aspects had clearly been either been ignored or...

« The location is superb right on the water. The house is lovely and had everything we needed! We had a slight issue gaining access, but the host was very responsive and helpful, so it was resolved immediately. Would definitely recommend and stay again, our toddler didn't want to leave! »
