Charming Riverfront Guest Cottage d'une chambre

Ce chalet récemment rénové d'une chambre est situé dans une communauté calme appelée Banks O'dee. Situé à une heure de DC et à proximité des vignobles et de la Virginie historique.

La maison elle-même offre une vue sur Cuckold Creek et Perry Branch. Nous avons une grande jetée qui est partagée avec notre maison à côté, une rampe pour bateaux et nager de la jetée.

Vous trouverez ici une abondance de la vie sauvage. Il n'est pas rare d'être assis dans la cour, près de la jetée, et voir les aigles chauves, les balbuzards pêcheurs, les cygnes et le grand héron bleu faisant leur chose. Souvent, vous verrez des cerfs debout le long de Banks O 'Dee Road.

Peaceful Getaway
We had a great trip during the week at the last minute (x2 nights)! The host let us check in a few hours early and was super friendly. The neighborhood was very calm and quiet and you can't beat being right on the water. We took advantage of the kayaks and life-vests. Perfect location for easy paddling and open-water kayaking as well. The description could have been a little more clear about the rental being right next to the owner's own house. The equipment is in their backyard shed. Not a problem at all, just caught us off guard. We loved sitting on the dock and watching the eagles and osprey. Would recommend!

Quiet, peaceful waterfront location
What a nice spot to unplug and relax! Waterfront property in a super quiet neighborhood. Hosts live next door; friendly and helpful, excellent communication. House was spotless, bed and furniture was comfortable, kitchen was all set up, spacious bathroom. There is a great screened porch that we spent most of our time on. Lots of wildlife to watch. Dog friendly with a big lot to enjoy. They have a nice grill and a fire pit. We also enjoyed a great dinner at Captain Billy's Crab House. Will be booking this house again!

Nice views
The property is located in a small neighborhood right by the water. While there are houses fairly close it is quiet with beautiful views. The house is clean and has good appliances/wifi for a comfortable stay. It is a one bedroom with a big bathroom and living room. The screened in patio is good to avoid the mosquitos. One note is for those with mobility issues, the shower/bathtub has a high ledge with a thicker width to get in/out.

Tina's cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood and I loved sitting out on the screened patio that faced the water with my morning coffee. it was a great break from the hectic city life that I tend to lead. I really enjoyed my stay and thank you Tina!

lovely Cottage by the water beautiful screened in area you can sit and watch the eagle across the way so relaxing will definitely be back. only comment I would have is run the dishwasher and washing machine while you are out because it’s quite noisy but everything else was perfect. This is a fantastic place and Tina is so kind and accommodating. It has everything that you need in a relaxing peaceful environment. It is just across the bridge from Dahlgren for anyone newly employed there.

Nice little cottage on the water
Due to it being winter we were unable to take advantage of the amenities but looks like a great place in summer, lots of crab pots and easy access in for kayaking and a nice fishing pier. Views are wonderful!!

A Little Slice of Heaven
Tina’s place was just awesome for our Thanksgiving week holiday. Everything is within an hours drive. We went to DC, Virginia, and throughout Maryland. The area is absolutely gorgeous. This place is a fisherman’s heaven. Everything is provided including poles, bait, and traps. It was too cold to use all the water toys for the lake, but plenty are provided. Come in the summer and you would have no reason to leave. The kitchen was equipped for basic meals including a brand new grill. We did go to the Yacht and Golf Club for a delicious Thanksgiving feast though. Being Thanksgiving we also needed TV for the parade and football. It was super simple to navigate. We truly enjoyed our time here.

Clean home on the water
This waterfront cottage was clean and on a quiet road. Tina was very kind and made us feel at home. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and the washer and dryer worked perfectly. The seafood restaurants in the area are excellent. We enjoyed this pet friendly home and plan on returning.

Great Vacation!
Was looking for a quiet place to fish and get away for a couple of days and this was the perfect location! Beautiful, small home with quick and easy access to the pier. It is in a very small town but finding groceries and places to eat were not difficult. Would absolutely return. Thanks!

Best vacation I’ve ever had
Our stay at the cottage was absolutely wonderful. So peaceful and restorative. The cottage is lovely and was just perfect for us and our 2 furballs. We were very comfortable in both the cottage and the very cozy neighborhood. But the best part is being right on the water, having the sun rise right into the bedroom and waking up to it. We fell in love with kayaking and enjoyed walks and just sitting on the porch and out on the dock. We plan to go back next year. Thank you Tina!

What a quaint and cute cottage. We were in town for a wedding and needed something pet friendly. This fit our needs perfectly. Beautiful waterfront with everything provided. Owners were so friendly and accommodating. They helped us get the kayaks in the water so we could take a nice trip around the river. Even saw two bald eagles. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful relaxing time, it was a pleasantly quiet escape from reality for a few days. Tina and John could not of been more welcoming hosts! Great place to get away from it all!
My husband and I had a wonderful 4-night stay at this charming cottage. The river views from the LR, BR and screened porch are incredible. There is abundant wildlife (eagles, osprey, and cranes, just to name a few.) The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen is very well-equipped. I highly recommend this cottage, and we look forward to returning.

Absolutely relaxing
We were looking for someplace to go to just unwind and this was perfect. The view from the house was great but sitting on the dock was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, our stay was during 90 degree weather so it was hot out. We took a couple short trips to see things but mostly enjoyed our time there. You had everything we could have possibly needed. AMAZING!
We picked this place since it was on the water and we could bring our dog who LOVES the water. It was perfect! The first night Tina's husband came over asking if our dog would like the bone from their dinner. I was touched and fell in love with the place a bit more. We are planning to go back as soon as we can. Thank you for a perfect week!
