« Overall the place is a nice quiet getaway in the woods. Be prepared for lots of DIY when it comes to the sauna and all other wood burning stove fires. An issue for concern, if you stay in the Shire Suite, the front room is solely heated by the wood burning stove and the ventilation is very limited. VERY smokey throughout our entire stay. Also there’s a tin roof so if it’s raining (it did our whole stay) the noise is REALLY loud making it almost impossible to sleep. Pray for no rain at night....

« Lovely place- view is incredible and we comfortably fit 4 families with grown kids (16 people) to celebrate Thanksgiving. Not sure we could have slept 20 as listed- had to use air mattresses to supplement bed space with grown boys. Video game systems weren’t functional - not a disaster aid course but a couple of the college kids in our group were disappointed. »

The bedrooms are spacious, living room and open kitchen plan provide good entertaining space. Basement is furnished and has extra beds for young kids . « We booked this home to have family and friends celebrate our small and intimate wedding.(Be advised this is not a wedding venue). It worked perfectly for us.
