« This is the second time I've stayed and would absolutely stay again. The views of the water are fabulous and it's short walk from town. The whole house is very well stocked with plenty of sitting room for many guests. There are games and books to keep yourself entertained while at home and the kitchen is fully stocked with whatever cooking you might want to do. « My family and I enjoyed a lovely 5 day stay visiting the sites of Sitka. The Hughes house was a highlight … mornings watching the ocean out the kitchen window and eagles flying by was special. Close to a grocery store and downtown nearby made for easy visiting of the Sitka activities. Wonderful memories of our stay at Hughes home! »

« Clean, comfortable, well equipped. Mini-split takes a few minutes to actually put out heat but works great after the delay. Nicely remodeled with all new appliances. Wave faucet is confusing til you get used to it. Don’t drink the fridge water but tap is great. »

« This place was great. Clean. beds were comfortable. everything you need. We spent a week here and have no complaints. Communication was great. Check in was smooth The views are amazing. Close to down town but away from the traffic and people on the ships. Very convenient to anything you could need. »

Appreciated recommendations on places to eat and things to do. Property was clean, cozy and just what we needed. View of the bay and covered back porch was amazing - would have liked to spend more evenings sitting outside enjoying the fire pit overlooking the water. Watching the birds in the morning was lovely. »
