Stella Maris, Freshwater East

Stella Maris is a fabulous house that has truly spectacular sea views over beautiful Freshwater East Bay and is only a few minutes' walk to the sandy beach. The house, in a stunning location on the sand dunes above the beach, has just been refurbished to the highest specification and has a breath-taking open plan space with cathedral ceilings, a stunning kitchen with large island, leather sofas, dining table, wood burner and a huge apex window with fabulous sea views across the bay.

The patios and garden are the perfect place for peace and tranquillity listening to the waves. Just below, the sheltered tranquil beach has Green Coast Seaside Awards and is renowned for its beauty; perfect for families, couples, and dog walkers.

Freshwater East has a friendly village pub serving good food and the village of Lamphey is just 2 miles away with its local bakery, shop, garage and restaurants. Stella Maris is in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, only 3 miles from Pembroke town with its magnificent Tudor Castle and 9 miles from the historic walled town and popular seaside resort of Tenby.

The location has a beautiful coastline, with a fantastic coastal path and renowned local beaches such as Barafundle, Broad Haven, Manorbier, Skrinkle and Swanlake Bay. It is a short drive to local beauty spots such as Stackpole Quay, with its superb tea room, the famous Lily ponds at Bosherston and National Trust woodland. The area is excellent for surfing, diving and climbing and local wildlife is abundant. There are a number of historic sites and castles also close by and a various Activity Leisure Parks in the area, including Folly Farm, Heatherton and the Dinosaur Park. This beautiful house makes an ideal base to explore the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and some of the most spectacular beaches in the UK.

The garden is very large and there is plenty of privacy in the separate patio and garden areas.

Stella Maris sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms: 3 king size and 1 twin. Some of the accommodation is on the ground floor, so may suit guests with restricted mobility

Dining area: table seating 8, sea views across the bay, French doors lead out to the veranda
Utility room: washing machine, easy access for walkers etc with washer/dryer and clothes hooks

OUTSIDE
The house has a large patio area with a large bench and various seating options. There is also a lawned area overlooking the sea with a hammock in the canopy of trees. The large garden is set in the sand dunes and is on two levels. It is shared with guests staying at Seren y Mor: you have the use of the large patio and upper garden area and they have the use of the lower garden. There is also a decking area, which has a privacy screen to divide the two houses. A short walk through the dunes and local nature reserve takes you to the beach. There is ample parking directly outside the house. There are two sit-on-top kayaks available for use by guests at Stella Maris at their own risk. There is also a tree swing that may be used by children but with parental supervision and at their own risk.
