Just outside of San Diego awaits this one-of-a-kind vacation rental quietly overlooking the foothills. Ideal for family or friends, this spacious 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath home delivers a modern-boho space with 360-degree views, multiple living areas, an outdoor oasis, and more. After a day of bass fishing in Lake Ramona, teeing up at Mt. Woodson Golf Club, and exploring the numerous wineries, unwind with a dip in the pool, an alfresco dinner on the patio, and a movie by the wood-burning stove.

- NOTE: The property is secluded, 1,700 feet above sea level, and located on a 4-mile dirt road. If you are scared of heights you may get nervous on the 1/2 mile, 16-foot wide, county and fireman-approved permitted concrete driveway that switches backs up my mountain. The property is located behind 2 locked gates (1 automated and 1 manual). It is highly recommended to arrive in the daylight for the first time. The airport, beaches, and downtown area are about 1 hour away

Beautiful views from the backyard. Great kitchen! Lots of room for beds to sleep and a fun billiards table! Challenging swtich back road to get to the property but worth it. Would return for another vacation!

Spectacular property
Getting to the property was a bit of a challenge, but if you follow the directions and advice of the owner, you will be fine. So totally worth the 15-20 minute drive up the mountain. We were there for a wedding family wedding with 6 people, and there was more than enough room. The property was well stocked and very comfortable. My expectations were exceeded.

Property Description "secluded, 1,700 feet above sea level, and located on a 4-mile dirt road. It is highly recommended to arrive in the daylight for the first time.” did not mention approx. 4 miles of narrow, bumpy, and dangerous dirt roads that are unnavigable in a sedan/small car OR AT NIGHT. No street lights/reflector strips/guard rails, and had steep drop-offs at the road's edge. Because of these missing details, we were not prepared for the drive up to the house (in daylight) and none of us (all 8 adults who are not afraid of heights or dirt roads) were comfortable driving up/down the mountain at night, nor would any ride-share. Knowing this information ahead of our booking, we would NOT HAVE RENTED THIS HOUSE. The purpose of our visit was to attend nieces’ rehearsal dinner & wedding - two EVENING events (sat. & sun) which would have prohibited us from attending due to dangerous road conditions at night. We contacted prop. mgr immediately upon arrival (Fri) and let them know we could not stay and would be leaving first thing Sat. AM but willing to pay for one night. We left the house Sat. AM and stayed at hotel for the remainder of our stay. PropMgr / home-owner would not refund nights not stayed. BUYER BEWARE!

Beautiful home - Is a trek to get there!
The home is beautiful and pretty well equipped to be able to enjoy a nice family vacation. The kitchen is well stocked and the pool is amazing. Guests need to be aware of the distance to get up there, it’s definitely a mountain top! From the exit of the freeway to the front door is a 12.5 mile curvy stretch. The last 4 miles are up the hill with some paved sections and some non-paved (dirt and gravel). It’s not a pleasant way up especially if you didn’t know before hand what to expect. Knowing this information ahead of time will help make decisions as to whether you actually want to rent this house and be better prepared. If we would have known this prior to the day of the reservation we might not had rented this place or we would at least had stopped at the grocery store prior to making the 12.5 mile trip up to the house. My goal in providing this information is to not discourage anyone from renting this place but to help inform you of the location so that it can be taken into consideration as you make plans. You are also advised to try to get to the house prior to sunset for safety reasons given the conditions of the road and active wildlife.

This was an amazing adventure. The property manager was awesome. She drove down in the rain to help my driver get us up the mountain to the house and drove him back down. The view is breathtaking and a great place to unwind and relax.

This property was so worth the drive from Arizona. We wanted to take a little vacation before winter fully came , and this place was it!! We loved it. The property was very clean and neat. This home was exactly what we needed. I could sit out and look out at the views all day and night. The house was able to accommodate 6 adults very comfortably. The host was amazing at communicating all pertinent information to us. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.
