« All the reviews are true! This cabin is beautiful, clean, fun, welcoming, unique, and comfortable. Close enough to Kalahari for the kids a day but spent most time on the property. You can’t beat fresh eggs and jam from Major Tom as well as his vast knowledge of the area. The fishing was awesome for our kids. Bedding was super comfy. Can’t wait to come back! »

« The property is exactly what you see in the pictures. Host was very nice. Location is convenient to Jim Thorpe. The house next to us was very run down, but that didn’t bother us in the least. I recommend this property as an excellent place to stay when you’re visiting Jim Thorpe. »

« We absolutely loved this property. The location is fantastic- a short (but steep) walk to town, and has its own parking space so you don't have to worry about parking. The home itself is so beautiful- rustic and cozy, but also stylish, modern, and clean. Decor was super cool! We slept in the back bedroom and that bed was so comfortable. Loved the skylights. Jason was very easy to communicate with. »

« I booked this weekend stay to spend some time with my Adult kids. The home was exactly as described, clean. Chris was very responsive to communication. Check in was a breeze. « We enjoyed our stay in Jim Thorpe, it was however very hot. The heat did impact our trip, as walking UP the hills in 95 degree weather isn’t fun. We enjoyed the local restaurants and saw a great show at the Opera house. The only negative is the bedroom AC unit, the compressor kicks on and off all night long making for a disrupted sleep. It did cool off the room but as light sleepers it was tough. I would rate our stay a 4 out of 5, due to the AC unit. »

« The lake was nice! We had a great time at the cabin. It was fairly clean and equipped with most thing that you might need. I would probably rate it a perfect score if those few things were better: The address given took us to the wrong place (Using Google Map). But we figured it out with the extra directions given by the owner. Inside of the cabin was fairly clean but the front deck( grill area) and the grill could have used a little clean up. »

« Black Diamond Retreat was a wonderful place for a family gathering. Both indoor and outdoor areas were spacious and gave everyone room to spread out and wander. « Anyone who has stayed at VRBO knows that listings (like resumes) may be embellished sometimes. Not the case here, place was just as advertised and probably better. Plenty of kitchen accessories, handled our group of 18 perfectly. Even when a couple of kids wanted to change bedrooms, plenty to choose from. Pool was nicely heated, house was comfortable and vies spectacular. Only thing bad about the property was we only had it for week. Could have easily stayed another. Thanks to Jeff and his team. »
