« Nice area and friendly welcome from the owners. Lot of building work at the rear of the property which was very noisy first thing in the morning which probably worth noting on the website. Property was reasonable but lacking in ventilation as the bedroom window was defective as was the skylight. Overall our stay was fine however if those mentioned shortfalls were addressed it would be a 5 out of 5 »

« The George is very good value and in a great central spot in Selby. Big room but it is a little tired. Excellent breakfast each morning with lovely cold buffet and hot breakfast to order. The bed was extremely comfortable -one of the best mattresses we've slept on away from home. Our room was directly above the bar though and it is very, very noisy until the bar closes.
