A family and pet friendly house with two separate living rooms and a fenced-in card complete with its own sledding hill are enough reason to give this property 5 stars across the board in my opinion but there are many more reasons I would recommend this property and would happily stay there again any time. With 6 adults, 2 young kids (5 and 9) and a big dopey puppo who loves romping in the snow, there was plenty of room for all of us spread out. With our particular configuration of people we did need to create one extra bed but we knew that before arriving and it worked out fine. The house is clean and homey and updated in a way that looks nice but isn't so precious that you're afraid to use it. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, the internet works great, and the dog and kids had a safe and fun yard to play in plus plenty of space to be loud indoors without taking over the house. Plus there is a huge table downstairs perfect for puzzling while watching musicals on the big screen tv during a snowstorm (if that's your jam, it was definitely mine on this trip). Anna was very responsive to my phone calls and after staying in so many short-term rentals in over the years, I am soooooo appreciative of the short and totally reasonable checkout list.
Some things to note: There are a lot of stairs in this house and the main living area is on the top floor, which renters should keep in mind if there are accessibility/mobility issues and/or to double check if there are baby gates available depending on the age of kids (we didn't need them so I didn't notice if they were there.) Because the kitchen is small and also so well stocked there isn't much extra cabinet storage for food so we made a makeshift pantry in the living room on the hearth (there is a cozy wood stove downstairs for fires) because we somehow managed to bring a month's worth of food between the three families. If you like a really warm room to sleep in in the winter and don't want to sleep with the door open, you may want to bring a small space heater for your bedroom since the heaters are in the main living areas. If you like a cool room with a warm blanket, you should be plenty comfortable.
Whenever I stay in a vacation rental, it's always fun to think about what I might change if it was mine. After our 5 days here that list is incredibly short. Highly recommend.
