Welcome to Hot Cocoa! Be among the first to stay here! A newly built 1 bedroom and 1 bath cabin.
Come to this cabin to have a great vacation and get away from it all. Fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, king bed, fire pit and lots of stars in the sky!

Master bedroom with glass sliding doors to the large covered porch. King size bed with all linens supplied. Comfy pillows. Large screen tv.
Living room has a comfy oversized couch and chair. Live edge wood dining bar with barstools. Large screen smart tv and blue ray DVD. (bring your Netflix passwords!)
Cabin has central heat and air.

Full bathroom with shower. Towels and washcloths provided. Hairdryer under sink.


Pack and Play childs crib available ON REQUEST.

Fully stocked kitchen. Full size stove, microwave and fridge. All utensils, plates, glasses, toaster, cookware, Keurig K cup coffee maker. (2 K cups provided).

Full size washer and dryer. (starter laundry items supplied)

Outside patio table offers a nice view. Propane gas grill. Large covered front porch with ceiling fans.
4 additional chairs around the fire pit. Fire pit is with twinkle lights. On clear nights this is the perfect spot to see hundreds of stars. firewood is not provided, please purchase locally at any nearby gas station. Marshmallow sticks are provided.

Cabin themed decor throughout. Lots of unique touches to really make you feel welcome.

This property has one neighbor, another vacation cabin we owned named Toasted Marshmallow. Perfect if you have a larger party but wanting your own space.

Before you pack up and head to the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!
Dillsboro NC elevation starts at 1,975 feet. Think of this as your starting point. If you want to get a beautiful mountain view, you gotta climb some mountains. Mountain roads are typically gravel, steeper, narrower and curvier than you may be use to driving. This is all part of our charm.
We do have one big hill to get up. It is gravel. We regularly drive a Hyundai Sonata up. While AWD vehicles make everything easier they are not required. Maintain an even speed (10mph) going up and you should have no issues.

Items NOT provided: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap, items of a personal nature. We do supply hand soap, dish soap, and starter laundry items.

Please note this is a SMOKE FREE property. Ashtrays are provided outside on the porch. If the home smells of smoke, you may lose part or all of your damage deposit for additional cleaning & odor removal.

*****This property is located off US 74 in a curve. You will hear road noise while outside. While it is not obtrusive it is noticeable, but we think the convenient location makes up for this.

*****This is a DOG friendly property, however we ask that you bring a kennel for your pet if you plan on leaving him/her alone at the house. We do charge a $45 non refundable fee for bringing your pet. If you are bringing your pet YOU MUST select the pet option at checkout. If you do not it will be taken from your damage deposit. Moving weekend for our daughter attending Western Carolina University
Cozy cabin that has everything you need. Enjoyed fires each night by the fire pit, with the twinkle lights and "fountain" in the boat pond setting the ambiance. Gravel road up to the cabin is steep, but maintain constant slow speed and you'll be okay. One suggestion would be to install a shower curtain liner. Will stay again when our travels take us to the area in the future.

Perfect Get Away Spot
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hot Cocoa cabin. Priced very fairly, the cabin is up-to-date and very spacious for two people. It's centrally located between Cherokee, Bryson City, and Dillsboro. It is situated midway up a mountain, but if you have an SUV or truck, you'll have no issue getting up and down. GPS got us there no problem, but the abundance of signs leading up the mountain provided additional assistance. Unfortunately, it rained every day we were there so we didn't get to utilize the firepit like we wanted. We still were able to chill outside on the very large covered patio. As we were leaving out Sunday, we got what we came for; the immaculate view! If you're lucky enough to get good weather during your stay, we highly suggest taking in the sunrise each morning. We wish we were able to do more of that during our stay but happy we got one morning to enjoy it. Bryson City was fun but seemed more touristy, so we highly suggest visiting Dillsboro, specifically stopping for breakfast at Lucy in the Rye. Save room though, as you'll want to walk east and enjoy beer at Lazy Hiker, Balsam Falls, and Innovation Brewing (favorite spot) before hitting Cherokee Casino in the evening. Charles was very communicative and made us feel welcome. (When we were out at the casino one night, storms knocked the power out and he sent someone up with candles just in case power wasn't back on by the time we got back!) Can't wait til we can get away again! We'll be back soon!

So good the first time, we came back a second
This is the perfect place for a couple wanting to get away for a weekend. We've done it twice now, in back-to-back years, and plan to keep going as often as time allots. The house is very accessible and is a breeze to get to relative to other mountain homes. Just stay on the throttle and you'll trudge right up the mountain, no issues. Google Maps essentially leads you right to it, but signage all the way up the mountain is very clear. There's never any complaints about the cleanliness or hospitality that the hosts provide. They make sure everything is in tip-top condition before arrival. Communication is very clear, access is easy; you can tell they care and put a lot of time into this. For having an neighboring house, it feels so private. Our favorite part during our stays has been chilling on the fully-covered patio, taking in the view of the mountain range in the background. There's a fire pit and grill that we have enjoyed a time or two as well. Plenty of things to do within a 15min radius either way you go. We typically hit the casino in the evening, but during the day, we jump over to Sylva to enjoy good food and brewery's. Haywood Smokehouse is a must-try for BBQ. Lucy in the Rye is a nice spot for a brunch. Innovation Brewing is a cool vibe with a pizza spot attached to it. Looking forward to our next trip out. Thanks so much!

We actually stayed at Toasted Marshmallow (Just beside Hot Cocoa ) due to an unforeseen circumstance. We have stayed at both cabins now and can say that we love them both. Can't wait to make another return trip to these awesome cabins!

Very cozy. Almost new build. Only a few additions desired, preferred but not for everyone. A small table in front of , couch, a foot stool for chair, a thermometer on porch post that can be seen from inside. Maybe a step out handle next to shower and longer curtin hooks to keep floors dry. Overall a great vacation cabin !!

Great little mountain cabin
Great little cabin! Clean and well stocked with amenities. Driveway is not paved but didn’t need to use my 4WD on the way up. Far enough away from other rentals to give privacy. Dog friendly. Pups had a great time. My only complaint would be the water pressure in the shower. As a woman with hair past her shoulders, it was nearly impossible to get the conditioner out of my hair. While I understand that sometimes rentals turn down the pressure to avoid excessive water usage, I had to take longer showers because the pressure was not adequate. Kind of a catch 22. This is not something that would make me not come back to this rental, at all, but could be improved. Otherwise, 5 star for sure!

Beautiful, compact, and luxurious
Nothing but 5 stars for the cabin. Solid yellow pine walls and cathedral ceilings throughout, wood grain floors, cypress trim in bathroom, and solid hickory cabinet doors and frames - all give a bright appearance in this small cabin. The grounds and views are also really good. It was clean. The only issue was the road leading to the cabin. It was single lane, steep, rocky, and fully of ruts and areas where tires in other vehicles “spun out.” We made it up the first steep incline on the fourth attempt, and then only after backing far down the hill and “gunning it.” The drive way of the cabin was far too steep, so we parked about 50 yards downhill. Fortunately, our daughter at WCU in nearby Cullowhee drives an AWD vehicle, and was able to get us to the Homecoming festivities and return us Saturday. Again, the cabin was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, but the road was a ⭐️ or at most a ⭐️⭐️.

This cabin was very clean, nicely decorated and well stocked with kitchen items. The deck, fire pit, and unique water fountain are fun features. The cabin is both cozy and comfortable. The location is close to several smaller and larger towns for easy site seeing, dining and shopping.

Perfect Couple’s Getaway
The Hot Cocoa cabin is super cute and comfortable! Everything is brand new and the cabin was well stocked with anything you might need. It’s a great central location for going to the casino, Bryson City, Silva, Nantahala. Just be aware the road to it and the driveway up are all dirt and gravel, but they are working on getting it smoothed out and paved. We enjoyed watching the rain and fog roll in from the front porch.

Awesome little cabin!
Perfect size for a romantic getaway, beautiful views, quiet, and seclusion! It has a very large porch with furniture, a fire pit, and there was always a little breeze blowing while we were there. Everything was new and still had that new wood smell. The owner was easy to communicate with and very helpful! Highly recommend, and we will be staying in one of their properties in the future!
