Lower Slaughters is the best place in the Cotswolds, and the Country Inn atmosphere and staff have further contributed to our very relaxing stay there. We planned to go for more visits, but decided to seize the moment and stay a full-day enjoying the place to read, rest, do short walks to Bourton-on-the-water or the next door mill »

« We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the four poster suite. Very comfortable bed and lovely shower. We were met by Joan who was extremely hospitable and helpful with recommendations for restaurants, etc. Very good breakfast which was freshly prepared to order. Property is conveniently located close to the town centre. Will definitely stay here again when next in the area. »

« Ilmington is a charming village and it is still unspoilt by tourism and traffic. It is so bucolic as the sheep graze on the hills surrounding the village and the quiet of the night is worth the price of admission. We loved the Howard Arms. The Village room was spacious and had loads of history and beautiful features. Breakfasts were plentiful with good options. We will definitely stay here again if we return to this part of the Cotswolds. »

« Accueil très chaleureux, de plus notre hôtesse parle français. Chambre claire, spacieuse, très confortable. Une vue imprenable sur la campagne anglaise, avec, au premier plan un beau verger. Tout est prévu pour que le séjour soit parfait. Un petit déjeuner à la carte qui s'adapte à toutes les gourmandises. Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre hôtesse, de sa gentillesse, sa disponibilité et son art de recevoir ! »

« It was like adream come true. Even though we did not have a car to get around , the owners gave us a contact so we were picked up when we needed it. Otherwise we walked around the most beautiful cottage area, it was peaceful, relaxing and the owners were very enjoyable. The breakfast every morning was very good. »

« The cottage and the entire property are beautiful and well maintained. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. The cottage is fully stocked with everything a guest may require. The fridge was stocked with milk, a pack of bacon, a pack of cheese and wine. Fruits and homemade marmalade were also left for us. All very thoughtful and welcoming.
