« We are local residents and needed a place to stay while repairs were done at our home. We chose this cottage as it was nearby and convenient for us. The home was clean and neat and had everything we needed. We did call the property manager once during our stay - the battery in the smoke detector died and needed replacement. « We stayed close to Volcano National park so we would have quick access to park in day and night for viewing. When 11th episode of eruption occurred on 2/25/2025 it took us only 10 minutes to get to the national park. »

« Great yard and neighborhood for this vacation rental. However inside the rental needs a deep cleaning and new kitchen supplies. Even the potato peeler was broken. The nonstick pans were old and probably have the older unhealthy coating. The furniture on the decks was comfortable but the inside couch and chairs were not.we did enjoy our stay despite these things. »

« We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property in Honomu HI. The property was as advertised - quiet and beautifully landscaped. We enjoyed walking the property looking at the plants, birds, goats, chickens & view of the ocean. Our hosts had thoughtfully stocked the refrigerator with some staples that were helpful, including fresh eggs and some chocolates. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed having breakfast on one of the two patios/decks. »

« If i could give more stars i would. Had everything we needed and you could tell that alot of thought and care had gone into setting up and maintaining this cottage. The owner was extraordinarily helpful and gave us tips about where to go and what to do in our short time on big island. If i ever go back this will be my number one choice for lodging.! »
